BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. This documentary have liked me very much. It's very educational and with it you learn many interesting things that before you did not know. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is a fantastic monument, a palace builded by the Muslims who dominated the city in that moment. This palace has very beutiful parts as the Court of the Lions, the Hall of Abencerrajes, the Tower of Justice and the Generalife. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful monument in Andalusia and I recommend people to go to see it.

The documentary that Albert has published here, is very interesant. It explained that muslings did very important and interesant things here and in other countries.

  3. The Alhambra isn't a palace as most people think, it is a city with a wall in which there were three palaces, houses for artisans and noblility and a military place called "alcazaba" with three towers to make sure that enemies didn't come. The Generalife was the summer residence of Muhammad III, and when it was built by the Muslims it had no gardens, but had vegetables and fruit to feed the entire city of Alhambra; also had animals such as sheeps, cows and horses.

The first palace of the Alhambra is the palace of Yusuf I, called The palace of Comares, and was the official part. It was composed of several rooms, as the Mexuar, room which turned into a shrine when the cristians came, the Golden Court, Court of Comares or the throne room, which is decorated with plaster reliefs on the walls and a dome representing the seven heavens that Muslims had to pass to go through to go to the world of Ala.

Another of the best preserved palace is the Palace of the Lions, where Muhammad V lived, and was thought to be the private part. There are several rooms around the Court of the Lions, which is one of the most famous court of the Alhambra, since the center is a fountain with twelve lions that belonged to the house of a Jew. Below is the Hall of Abencerrajes, named like that because a legend says that several members of the family of the Abencerrages were killed in this room.

The name "Alhambra" means red castle, as it was made mostly of brick. In addition, water and vegetation was very important for Muslims as they came from the desert, where there was none of this. Nowadays, many parts of the palace are being rebuilt, as we saw on the trip we did with our school yesterday. From my point of view the Alhambra is one of the best examples of Islamic art in the world, and must be named a wonder of the world.

  4. The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex in Granada (very near us). It was originally constructed as a small fortress in 889 and then largely ignored until its ruins were renovated and rebuilt in the middle of 11th century. It was converted into a royal palace in 1333.

Alhambra's Islamic palaces, as we know them today, were built for the last Muslim emirs in Spain and the court of the Nasrid dynasty. After the conquest of Granada by the Reyes Católicos in 1492, some portions were used by Christian rulers.

Now the Alhambra is one of Spain's major tourist attractions, exhibiting the country's most significant and well known Islamic architecture, together with 16th-century and later Christian building and garden interventions.
Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I have visited the Alhambra two or three times, and I have liked it because it is very big and it has beautiful palaces.

  8. The Alhambra is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world. She is located in Granada and she became a royal residence, beginning in 1238, with the arrival in power of Muhammad ibn Nasr, the first monarch of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, for which he created his own water supply.

Its true attraction not only lies in the interiors, whose decoration is among the peaks of Andalusian art, but also in its location and adaptation, generating a new landscape but fully integrated with the pre-existing nature.

The Alhambra was the second monuments more visited in Spain in 2016 with an occupation of 2.615.188 visitors behind the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.
She is one of the reasons for high tourism in Granada.

Finally, I like that Alhambra is in Granada because I can see her. I have visited her with the school and with my parents too, and I like that Granada has a lot of tourist because there are a lot of tourist to visit them.

  17. The Alhambra is a historical monument found in Granada whose autonomous community is Andalusia.
Its construction was made as a small fortress, the palaces that it has were built for Muslim emirates. In 1492 the Alhambra, like the entire city, was conquered by the Catholic kings.

Today the Alhambra is one of the most beautiful and best monuments in Spain, it is also one of the most visited. I think it is one of the best monuments in Spain and I would even say in Europe due to its greatness both inside and out and for the landscape.

I have been three or four times visiting the Alhambra and the truth is that I liked it a lot because of how well structured it is, its greatness, although it is very old but it has great beauty. As a person from Granada, I am very proud of the monument we have in the city, and I would go to visit it as many times as I can.

The Alhambra palace was built by the Muslim emirs in Spain, although later they suffered the conquest of the Catholic kings.

Today the Alhambra is one of the best known and most visited monuments in Spain since despite being spectacular both inside and out, it has a great history through the many years it has and this makes it Many people are curious about coming to know it since more and more people come to Granada to see the Alhambra, such as Germans, Chinese, Italians, etc.
I recommend people to visit it because it is incredible.

The ALHAMBRA was built in the XII/XV, more precisely, in the year 1238. A peculiarity is that it has a Christian church inside, the Church of Santa María de la Encarnación, which it was built in the year 1581, and it was finished by Ambrosio de Vicio. who finished it in 1618. Also in the Nasrid complex is the palace of Charles V where construction began in 1526.
