BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. Lindsey Stirling is an inspiration to me for various reasons. She was trained as a classical violinist but she now plays classical-folk music and combines it with dubstep and hip hop dance. She came from a poor family and it was a sacrifice to find the money to pay for her music classes, but Lindsey was a determined person and knew she wanted to earn her living by playing music.

She got to the quarter finals of Americas Got Talent but was criticized by one of the main judges Piers Morgan who said that she wasn't untalented, but that she wasn't good enough to get away with flying through the air and trying to play the violin at the same time. She was told that she would have to diversify her act if she wished to pursue a career in music.

Lindsey has proved them all wrong. She promoted herself on YouTube and has become famous. In December 2012, YouTube announced that Stirling's song, "Crystallize", was the eighth top viewed video of 2012 with over 42 million views. She has toured America and Europe and has just announced a second tour of Europe in 2013. She has collaborated with Tyler Ward and Pentatonix in providing the music background for their videos.

Lindsey says "A lot of people have told me along the way that my style and the music I do ... is unmarketable. But the only reason I'm successful is because I have stayed true to myself". I wish her all the best.

  2. That video so cool! The best thing was that shadow then changed and that women play so well moving. But what I liked most was the mixture between pop and classical music.

  3. Although it isn’t my favorite music style, I liked the mix between the electronic music and the violin. You don’t listen to this kind of music very often but I know about a few other examples of combining classical music with modern styles such as rock, pop, etc. The most memorable thing about Lindsey Stirling is that she never gave up although she had been told that she wasn’t good enough to get a successful career. Now she is well-known in many European countries and she has reached her dream by doing what she likes and staying true to herself. There are not many people who are as confident as she and those people should learn from her.

  4. That video is cool! The best thing was the shadow that changed its shape as the young lady was playing and moving so well. But what I liked most was the mixture between pop and classical music.

  5. Although I don't like so much this kind of music, it's reasonable to say that the musical is very wonderful, if somebody thinks that it's bad because it's not his kind of music, he will be absolutely wrong. I'm not especially of a specific kind of music, but rather I listen good music, regardless of style. Music can help you a lot, when you are sad, and it's very important. I personally differentiate several types of music, first the music that make you happy, like punk, other type it is the metal, that in my case it activates me a lot, and melodic music like this. The music shows when it is made with heart, or when it's made for money. Music is an art, like it could be a Messi dribble, or a paint, and make music to earn some money it's absurd.

  7. I love this video I can't play the violin and dance at the same time, but i don´t like this song, because the tipe of music his type of music I don't like because the artist doesn't sing.

I just learned a life lesson:
If you ever notice your shadow not doing the same thing as you, just act like you're in a music video and the shadow will play along and it will be fun!
