BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. Devin Graham has made over 40 videoclips which he has uploaded to his youtube channel. Out of all of them, The Epic Rope Swing is one of my favourites. I love it because it's full of energy and happiness; beautiful light and colours. In fact, Devin tells us on the Behind the Scenes clip that they had intended to make the video in one day, but he was not satisfied with the light, as it was cloudy and so they had to return a second day. I think it was worthwhile because the second clip is full of sunlight and this enhances the redness of the rock formation.

The swing is terrifying! There is a drop of of 130 feet that is just under 40 metres, before you start swinging and you have to literally leap off the cliff. I would like to have a go at it, but perhaps I'll have to start with something smaller like bungee jumping from the Lanjarón bridge.

These people are professional rock climbers and have all the proper equipment, but I think they're also adrenaline junkies! Even when you're professional, such feats can be dangerous and in the Behind The Scenes clip we see how the leader slips and almost falls. It's a good job that he managed to regain his balance as he later propose to his girlfriend.

The group is mainly made up of men, however there is one girl. After she jumped and was swinging below the arch, her boyfriend lowered himself down level to her and proposed. I don't think this was the most romantic place to propose, but I wish them good luck.

  2. I think that those kind of activities, are absolutely incredible, because you have a adrenaline rush, and it is awesome, there are a lot of activities like that, this caught my attention because various people try it, usually only one do it, that because I like it.

To do this thing it's difficult, it's complicate to find a place where you can do it, and the most important, where you can do it safely, although those sports are extreme sports, and it has to have some risk, but all is extensively studied for no accidents.

I think that I can do it, maybe because I'm crazy or maybe because I am a reckless, and if you are with your friends it would be easier and more interesting, to forget your fears is the best that you can do in this situation.

  3. I really admire people who make this kind of dangerous stunts because I would be terrified from such a jump. However, some people cannot live without those “adrenalin shots” you get after a stunt, in fact, they love risks. They trust the safety systems and they know exactly at what they have to pay attention. This man reminds me to Felix Baumgartner, the man who jumped out of a capsule from the stratosphere. He also did unbelievable stunts before, even forbidden jumps from the tallest buildings in the world. I think I would be surprise from myself if I ever did such an extreme jump, but, honestly, I think that day will never come. I’m too coward for it!
