BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

His singular form to play guitar, that is not easy, has captivated many flamenco guitarist. Paco has left an important trace in the history of music and in the hearts of guitarist of the world.

Paco played the guitar specially fast and and it is not a gag. His incredible technique has been performed since he was 13 and the results are obviously in compositios as "entre dos aguas". Thank to this, he could play with big artists as Camarón de la Isla or with famous Philharmonics (Adagio). His flamenco singing has been played in Norway, for example, not only in Spain or South America.

The most curious thing is Paco's family was very poor when he has a child. His father gave him a guitar and said "this guitar is the best thing I could ever give to you".

  20. Paco de Lucia has been one of the best guitarists of all time around the world and possibly in Spain there will not be someone like him. His death was sudden in the Mexican resort of Cancun. At the Conservatory of Motril, there are some guitar teachers who were inspired by him and his death was a great shock to some of them. Paco de Lucia was known not only in Spain and South America, but was also famous in some Nordic countries such as Norway. This man out by her speed and technique in both hands and also because we really felt the music.

Paco de Lucia participated in several Spanish films and formed a great team for a decade with Camaron de La Isla. Received in 2004 the Prince of Asturias Award for art although I never felt comfortable with it.
