BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

The day I cried

25 years ago, I remember coming home in the afternoon and getting shocked with the terrible piece of news of FERNANDO MARTIN getting killed in a car crash.

So when this week it has been the 25th anniversary of his death, these terrible moments came to my mind and reminded me of such a sad moment.

He was the first Spaniard to play in the NBA. What can you tell me about him and what can you find about him? Make your comments and send me anything you find on the web (articles in English, mainly)

  7. Fernando Martin is an emblematic figure in Spanish sport and, above all, in basketball. He was the pioneer among Spanish players who made it to the NBA and that will last forever. A lot of importance must be attached to his audacious attempt to make the leap at a time when the gulf between the two basketballs was very wide.Martin dared and that deserves all possible recognition" - Pau Gasol to Spanish sports daily Marca.
Martin won four Spanish league titles with Real and helped Spain to silver medals at the 1983 European Championship and the 1984 Olympic Games.
