BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Student life: Star wars or the Eden?

We have almost finished our first term at school and it has been probably the hardest part of the school year as we had to start the engine and get used to many new things: new subjects, new contents, new teachers... and, what's really important, more and more demanding and challenging. So, is it student life all good? (listening exercise) especially when you go to university and you have to move from home. What big changes have you gone through so far this school year?

In my humble opinion, it is just like in the film Star Wars (listening exercise), a life full of experiences, dangers, risks, full of moments of success, failure, disappointment, love, sadness... By the way, what is your opinion about the film and all the big hustle organised around the film premiere?

  1. In this comment I am going to talk about the advantages and the disadvantages of being a student. Usually, the adults think that students have a good life and the students think the opposite. In this writing I am going to focus on the life of university students, because is the one who has the biggest step.

On the one hand, students are usually financed by their parents, so they only have to take care of the maintenance of the apartment, their meals and their studies. If you are a student there are a lot of discount on museums or shops that make their entrance cheap or even free. When you are a student, it is common to parties on Fridays or Saturdays, so you can socialise a lot.

On the other hand, each year the level of the studies increase so you have to dedicate more time each year. Not all the students have got enough money to live and study so they usually have to work like waiters. Sometimes you don’t have enough time either to study and do the maintenance at the same time and you left your apartment like a mess.

All in all, I think being a student isn’t either good or bad, but I think we should look it as it is a part of the life that everybody must pass through. Whatever we do has got pro and cos so I think we should only take care of the good things and live the life. CARPE DIEM!!!

  2. The students life is very stressed in my opinion, because we have study for the exams and do homework every day. The people think, the students life is very relaxed, they say: "you have a very good life". But the student spend the morning in the school and in the afternoon we have do homework and study.

The worst time for be student is the last week of the course. We have much exams in the last week of the course and we haven't got time for do homework. Many of the students get up at 5:00am for study for the exam of this day.

The people think we life good, they haven't got idea of our life because in my opinion is very stressed.

  3. Usually, the adults think that students have a good life and the students think the opposite.Adults always think and say that being a student is easy but do not know how hard it is routine throughout the year having to get up at 7 and spend 6 hours.

Sitting receiving explanations and doing homework all day without stoppingand then we each get our house in the afternoon and still have to make more homework, because the student's life is not alone all morning every day, if not all day from morning till night.

Students are usually financed by their parents, so they only have to take care of the maintenance of the apartment, their meals and their studies.

In my opinion and that of all students, being a student is hard.

  5. Students' lives are not as easy as some people believe, because some people say that students are very lucky, because they have a lot of free time. When you start high school in 1st and 2nd grades, they are easy and you have more free time. not very difficult, although you also have to study and make a little effort, but when you get to 3º things get complicated because there is more work, the subjects are more difficult, there are more complicated subjects, but the worst year is 2nd of Bachillerato because there are many subjects and there is very little time. Most students do not want to get to Bach 2nd because they have a hard time. The best thing to do is not to stop working/studying during the summer time.

  6. Students' life is a little hard. For a start, you have to get up at seven o'clock in the morning and spend six hours at high school. When you get home in the afternoon you have to do more exercises and study to pass the exams. The worst time is the last week of the term, we have to do many exams.
Students must not stop working, we must study every day and it will be easier to pass.
You hardly ever play or meet your friends in the afternoon, you must wait for the holidays.

  8. Star Wars is one of my favourite franchise of all times. I watched the first trilogy when I was really young, and I fell in love so quickly with its world. The films tell the story of a group of men with special powers called “jedi”. These jedi fight some evil forces, different depending on the film. It has an amazing world, with really beautiful planets and really different breeds.

The first trylogy, chronologically talking, are the IV, V and VI. The first, “Star Wars: Episode 4. A new hope” came out in 1977, and is the fourth film according to the story which the films tell. This trylogy is the most acclaimed, and the favorite to the fans of this franchise. It is a really good one, and introduces us characters really famous like Darth Vader or The Princess Leia. A curious fact is that the famous extract: “I´m your father” comes from this film.

There is a second trilogy, the I, II and III films. The first one came out in 1999, and was really famous. These films were created after the great succes the other films had had, so it was obvious that another trylogy would generate a lot of money too. This trilogy is really loved by the fans. Finally, there is a third trylogy, the chapters VII, VIII and IX. The first one came out in 2015, and is a new reboot of the franchise, with mostly new characters. However, these last films weren´t as loved by the fanbase as the previous ones.

In summary, I think that this is an incredible frachise, which everyone could love, so, if you haven´t seen these films, I don´t know what you are waiting for! Go and discover this amazing and interesting world!
