BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  3. I have seen the video about these two players, they play very well!! But I don't like classical music very much... I listen to music every day in my mobile phone because I like listening to music a lot while I´m doing my homework, but I prefer other kinds of music, specially pop and latino music. I have to say that I have listened to classical music when I was at school, in the music subject, but I didn't like it.
All in all, although I like music very much, I prefer music which I can dance.

  5. “2 CELLOS” is the name of this fantastic cello duo, consisting of the Slovenian-Croatian Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Apart from being two excellent cellists, they are known for doing incredible versions of well-known pop and rock songs with their two classical cellos. In 2011, they signed a contract with Sony Masterworks and since then they have already done three amazing albums. What kind of music do you like listening to? Is listening to classical music old-fashioned?

It’s a well-known fact that we have nowadays a lot kinds of music Rock, Punk, Pop music, Jazz… that we can listen to. It’s not like a few decades ago that we only had the opportunity to listen to one or two kinds of music. Nowadays thanks to platforms like Youtube or Spotify, we can have all the songs that you can imagine in your mobile phones or laptops without any problems.

Nevertheless, especially teenagers listen to other types of music like Reggaeton, Techno… that I’m not saying that they can’t listen to them, but that have lost a lot of the musical values that music used to have. It’s for this reason that I reckon that some genres of music like Classical, Rock music or Pop music have lost their places in favour of this kind of music. In spite of this, it’s true that musical tastes change and I think that it’s good, but there are some songs and values that we shouldn’t lose.

All in all, I reckon that groups like 2 Cellos are good to listen to at least once in your life because they mix the traditional values with the new ones, which is twice better. Moreover, not all the modern music is like that since there are artists such as Adele, Avicii, Maroon 5, Sam Smith, Stromae, Louane or Bruno Mars and groups like Cage the Elephant, Imagine Dragons or London Grammar whose records have become part of the history of modern music.

  7. I think both of these musicians are really brilliant. It's so difficult to play classical music and it's even more difficult to compose some music. But what's classical music? The word classical is used to describe a musical style. It's used by popular culture to distinguish this kind of music from jazz, rock or other comtemporary styles. However, the word classical is a period of time in Western Art Music that describes the music of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven and other good composers who lived at that time. The term 'Classical Music' is a term for a genre of music that spans the course of hundreds of years.

Actually, Classical Music is worse than the Classical Music that was created several hundreds years ago. I reckon fewer and fewer people listen to it.

I don't like it very much, but it isn't so bad

  8. Croatian cello duo 2Cellos took the public attention after uploading a cello-only cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" to YouTube. Then, the players Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser signed a contract with Sony in 2010 and released their debut album the following year. In 2013, they launched another album called" In2ition" based on songs from AC/DC and Coldplay l. "Orient Express." The duo's third studio album, 2015's "Celloverse", included songs inspired on Iron Maiden's "The Trooper," AC/DC's "Thunderstruck," and Mumford & Sons' "I Will Wait."

  9. I really liked this video, and I also liked too much Avicii's song. I think it is too difficult to play an instrument like them. However, we can get everything we set out with our effort.

I like listening to this kind of music, but I'm not into it. I prefer listening songs with lyrics and with another rhythm. On the contrary, I like too much listening to instrumental paso dobles, marches, and this kind of music. This music encourage me a lot!

I usually watch a part of the New Year Concert that it is given on channel "The One" the first of January. It is so beautiful to listen to it!

Music has benefits and here I posted ones:

    - It increases physical performance and it helps you to get the most out of your workout.
    - Classical music helps to relax your body physically while it is calming your mind.
    - Music helps to reprogram the brain to focus on the music rather than the physical pain.
    - It improve mood and lower stress.
    - It boosts your brainpower.

It is incredible how music can help you!

  10. 2Cellos is music duo from Croatia, formed by Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. They have released four albums, but they are most known for have played well-known pop and rock songs from others artists as well as classical and film music, like the video above, where they play Wake me up by Avicii but with a classical music style.

I don´t know too much about them, but I have seen so many videos of them on Youtube, and the only one thing I can say about them is "WOW" they have such an incredible skill to play their Cellos. They can also play every music style and it still sounds amazing

Answering the title question, I don´t like classical music at all, I prefer Pop music, or just instrumental music without lyrics.

  11. Classical music relates to musical compositions that are from the period known as musical classicism (between 1750 and 1820). Artists who create classical music try to express their ideas through the beauty of the sound. In addition, there are many classical music artists that we all know as Mozart or Bach. Moreover, according to some studies, classical music has many benefits.

On the one hand, Neuroscience has carried out several studies about the incidence of music in the brain. One of the most interesting recent studies took place at the University of Helsinki, which was about the genetic alterations produced by classical music. The result was that classical music is able to turn off the genes involved in the degeneration of the brain and the immune system, allowing the prevention of future neurodegenerative diseases. Furthermore, many scientists recommend pregnant women to listen to classical music during their pregnancy. This is because it stimulates different areas of the baby's brain and can help it develop healthier.

On the other hand, another area that music affects is the area of health. There is something called music therapy which is a therapy that is associated to music. This discipline carries out conventional treatments on areas of the brain that are affected such as: cerebrovascular accidents, or dementia, among others. This type of treatment has given excellent results and advances in the reduction of these illnesses, and in this way helps affected patients to recover language and motor skills, as well as memory. In addition, music, especially classical music, helps with relaxation and concentration for any type of person.

To put it in a nutshell, classical music is that kind of music that even after many years, will always persist. Besides, thanks to classical music many other types of music have appeared. From my perspective, although the music I usually listen to is totally different to classical music, I still like it. Moreover, I like to listen to classical music while doing my homework because it helps me to concentrate more.

  12. Music is a form of transport that you use without moving, it makes you remember what you thought you had forgotten and it can destroy you or pick you up second.

There are so many kinds of music: pop, rock, classical music, indie… I usually listen to several different styles of music.

I really liked the video, because I find it interesting the way they play current music with classical instruments like the cello in this case. I also believe that in this way they can get more attention from young people, and they are encouraged to play an instrument.

It may sound weird, but I enjoy classical music, it reminds me of when my sister and brother played the clarinet and flute at family meals.

In conclusion, I believe that music is really important in life, it accompanies us as in bad times as in good times.

  14. 2Cellos is a cello duo consisting of cellists Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, both Croatians, who achieved sensational success, taking cello to a new level by breaking down the boundaries between different music genres. . They signed with Sony Masterworks in 2011, after they were discovered on YouTube thanks to a music video featuring their cello version of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal". On the one hand, listening to music is good for mental health. It helps you combat pre-exam stress, which promotes relaxation and retention of information. Classical music makes it easier to master a new language. Music promotes your brain to stay alert and controls sleep.

On the other hand, students who listen to music with lyrics during study tend to be less efficient and absorb less information. Music that is too loud or agitated can have adverse effects on reading comprehension and mood, making it difficult to concentrate.

From my point of view, I think that listening to music is something essential in our lives, whatever the type of music. This helps us fight bad times in our lives, and give it a little color.
