BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Olympic legends in Rio 2016

The Olympic Games in Rio finished last Sunday (Olympics Closing ceremony, News Review, BBC Learning English) and it's time to make a balance of the achievements obtained.

First of all, what and who will these Olympic Games be remembered for? For instance, the Summer Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 will always be remembered for all the victories Jesse Owens obtained in front of Hitler.

  1. The Olympic Games have been one of the best in history. Spain obtained seventeen medals (seven of them gold), being our fourth best mark in the Olympic Games (equated with London in 2012). In Rio, Spain highlight especially in high jump (with Ruth Beitia), in tennis (with Raphael Nadal and Marc Lopez), in swimming (with Mireia Belmonte), in K1 1000 meters (with Marcus Walz), in badminton(Carolina Marin), In canoeing (with Saul Cravioto and Christian Toro), and Maialen Chourraut in canoeing too.

Spain also obtained ten medals more among which include four silver medals and six bronze medals. It was also obtained more gold medals than in the other Olympic Games, being only exceeded in Barcelona 1992 when we obtained thirteen gold medals. In my opinion this edition of the Olympic Games will be the most remembered in history.

  3. Olympic Games are the best thing ever. I love them! Every four years I watch them on TV. I keep watching them all the day. It's a real shame that Olympic Games are only celebrated every four years. It would be great if they were held every year.

There are lots of different sports and every country compete with each other to see who's the best athlete. In every sport, there's a price for the first, second and third positions. They will recieve gold, silver and bronze medals.

My dream is in the future to compete in the Olympic Games. Playing tennis obviusly!

  4. The Olympic Games is the largest competition in the world.

There are many sports and in all sports a lot of countries including Spain participate. Of all those sports there are three winners, the gold medal for the first, the silver medal for the second, and the bronze medal for the third. Lately Spain is playing a good role, the next Olympic games ivan to be in 2024 and are going to be held in Tokyo. I like Olympic games.
