BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Santa is coming tonight!!!

animated-santa-claus-image-0008Tonight is Christmas Eve and we all have a family dinner, listen or watch to the King's speech and some people, most in the world, wait for Santa Claus' gifts. Tradition is very important these days. What traditions do you keep in your family?

And talking about tradition, have a look at this fishing tradition in China:

  1. Christmas Eve, which is the day before Christmas Day, is celebrated in many countries worldwide in different ways on 24th December. The festival commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth and it’s observed as a full or partial holiday in anticipation of Christmas Day.

In Spain, most of families celebrate Christmas Eve with large family meals featuring traditional Christmas dishes. Furthemore, many homes have their Christmas trees lit up and otherChristmas decoations, such us the Bethlehem portal.

Some Spanish children are also given presents by "Santa Claus", but most of the Sanish children recieve their presents on the Three Wise Men Eve, owing to the fact that Santa Claus is an English tradition.

Finally, I'm going to talk about my usual Christmas Eve. This night my parents and me usually go to my grandmother's house, where we have dinner with all my fazmily. In my family we keep the tradition of singing Christmas Carols, so we take some tambourines and start singing. Afterwards, I used to go to sleep, but now about twelve, I meet my friends and go to party.

  2. Christmas Eve is one of the most beautiful day of the year. This day all family have dinner together and people who look little that day look. That day correspnds to 24th December, although the families come together again the 31th December, the last day of the year.

The 24th December, historically means the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Although not all the world think in God. Even so, everybody celebrate the christmas and this days dinner with their families.

By the children, this day means the day of Santa, when a men arrive of Laponia on camel and give present to the childrens. It is one of the best days of the years by the childrens, because they go to sleep excited and looking forward to the morning.

In my opinion, I love the Christmas because I think that is a period that the people is united, and the streets are very good decorated, too we have Christmas holidays for rest.

  8. I am going to write about one of the most important celebrations around the world, that is, Christmas. This party is celebrated in different ways depending on which country we are. Two important aspects of Christmas are obviously Santa Claus and Christmas Eve.

On the one hand, here in Spain we celebrate Christmas Eve having a family dinner, listening to music or singing Christmas carols. Besides, some people wait for Santa Claus’ gifts. Personally, I usually celebrate this day having a big family dinner at my grandma’s house. After dinner, all of us sing carols for hours and hours, and then I meet some friends and cousins and we all go to a party. However I don’t receive any presents, my parents give me some money as Christmas box.

On the other hand, the role of Santa Claus is very important. But, what makes the perfect one? The first is being the jolliest person on the planet and having a big smile on the face. It could be the greatest job, although you could feel some pressure as it is huge responsibility to recreate the magic of the real Santa. The best is living the Christmas spirit as a child. How lovely it is!

On the whole, I think that Christmas Eve is the most familiar party of the year because in New Year’s Eve we usually spend more time with friends than with family. Additionally, here in Spain it is more traditional to get presents on 6th January, the day of the Three Wise Men, than on Christmas Eve. Nowadays it is more and more usual, though.

  11. Christmas Eve is celebrated on 24th December, the day before Christmas Day. All countries celebrate it in different ways because they have different traditions, but in most of them, it is a happy family reunion and children are usually waiting for Santa Claus.

In Spain, we usually have a dinner with our family in which is typical to have a turkey. It is a really happy time because many members of the family haven’t seen each other for a long time so that they are looking forward to meeting their relatives. Furthermore, children are usually anxious to know what gift Santa Claus has brought them. On the contrary, it is also a time to remember members of the family that are not present at the dinner, which can be a sad time at moments, too.

What’s more, many families in Spain go to the Midnight Mass Service after having eaten dinner. It was a very special mass as it was the only one that was allowed to start so late as it was held at Midnight. It is also usual to have a Christmas tree at home, which is decorated in order to have a Christmas atmosphere. Many towns and villages also have their own Christmas Trees like the tree in Trafalgar Square in London, which is given to the UK by Norway every year as a present for the help the UK gave Norway in the Second World War.

To conclude, Christmas is a time which both children and adults enjoy since they spend time in family telling what they have done during all the time they have been far away because of work or studies. It is also a time to relax since we don’t have to go to school or study.

    1. Christmas Eve, which is the day before Christmas Day, has many of its own customs and traditions depending on the culture and the country. Christmas Eve is celebrated because it commemorates the birth of Jesus, who is traditionally thought to have been born at midnight.

It is an open secret that traditions go and come, the most widely practised tradition that still exists today is going to the Midnight Mass Service. However, there are a lot of traditions that have disappeared over the years, for example: after the midnight service, it was usual for people to walk through the streets carrying torches, playing guitars and beating on tambourines and drums.

As I have said before, Christmas is celebrated in different ways, my parents and I go to my grandmother’s house, where I have dinner with all my family. After dinner we watch a film and at about twelve I hang out with my friends and go to party.

To conclude, I would like to say that from my point of view Christmas is not about presents, it is about being with family, loving each other, showing gratitude, sharing and making people happy.

  14. Christmas Eve is the day before Christmas. This day is celebrated in different ways in different countries around the world. The most important thing about Christmas is Christmas Eve and Santa Claus.

In Spain, Christmas is one of the most important and emotional days of the year. Because many families meet after several months and even years without seeing each other. Most Spanish families celebrate Christmas Eve with great meals, the most typical is turkey. Many families also decorate their houses with Christmas trees, lights throughout the house and the Bethlehem portal. Although not everything on this day is nice for some people it is sad for the loss of a family member.

Some Spanish children receive the presents of Santa Claus the day after Christmas Eve. That night they cannot sleep because of the excitement of opening the presents. Today there are associations that collect presents for children who cannot afford them economically.

Finally, on Christmas Eve I am always with my family in Almería. Each family brings a different meal although almost every year it is the same, it is delicious. That day we go to bed late and the next day we open the presents.

  19. Chirstams Eve is the day before Christmas day.
Christmas Eve is celebrated on 24th December, I think that it is the best day to stay in family. In a lot of countries there are a lot of different celebrations or festivals.
In my case I have a dinner with my family at my grandmother's house because it is bigger and more comfortable, we eat a lot of types of food like soup, meat and canapes, but I have to say that my favourite one is the meat.
On this day we stay in family celebrating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
In other houses the families sing christmas carol but in my family we don't do this.
My cousins, my brother and I receive gifts the day after but it is not the most important thing of these days.
In my opinion you should not be alone because it is a good day to celebrate and to stay with your friends or family.

  21. At Christmas one of the most important days is December 24 since it is a day to enjoy with the whole family and have a great time.
In our family we all get together, my grandparents, my cousins, my uncles and we have a big dinner, we have a great time as we sing Christmas carols and open the gifts.

It is a very fun night, although this year we are going to spend it differently since the coronavirus does not allow more than 6 people to be in the same place and this is going to annoy us a bit, but we will still try to pass it in the best possible way but taking into account all the security measures.

  23. Christmas is one of the most beautiful holidays because all the people decorate their houses, the streets, the family gathers to celebrate these dates and at Christmas gifts are made, in Spain it is Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men but in other places it is only Santa Claus.

In Spain, houses are usually decorated on the inside and the streets with lights, but houses are not usually decorated on the outside as they do in other places, people gather to sing Christmas carols and they sing but they sing in a square it does not become a house. at home as elsewhere. The children receive many gifts and go to play with their friends. Many families spend Christmas in the snow, in Sierra Nevada many families go every year.

On Christmas Eve the families get together to have dinner and sing Christmas carols, I celebrate Christmas Eve with my family from Jaén every year and then after dinner we sing Christmas carols and then the gifts come, after all that I go out with my party cousins, although this year I have not been able to visit my family because of the Covid.

I hope that this coming year will be much better and all the families can celebrate Christmas as they deserve, and I hope to be able to see my family and spend a lot of time with them.
