BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Whining weaker men when ill, a fake?

Are really men weaker than women regarding suffering from an illness? Or do men pretend they are so ill they can't do anything and they just stay in bed? or just become couch potatoes? The enigma is there for you to solve after doing the listening exercise and reading about the matter.

Here's a listening exercise to do: Is 'man flu' real? (6 Minute English, BBC Learning English)

  3. Men are supposed to be stronger than women. But is that real? For example, when a man gets a flu isn't the same as when a woman gets one, so man flu is believed to be fake, just to stay in bed and do anything.

Researchers suggests that women are at greater risk of getting flu that men since they tend to spend more time around children, who are more likely to have a flu illness.

In addition, there are differences in how men and women perceive the illness. Men think they are going to die when they are unwell, so they go to bed and expect women to look after them, while for women it's just like a cold.

  4. Suppose that all the women or all men are same but not, each organism is a different the flu can different to each person without depending on sex what they do depend on is age.

When we are children the flu affect more that when we have fifteen is different our organism when we are children we believe that a cold is the end of the world but when we grow we know that a cold is passed in a couple of days

In conclusion the flu can affect more or less depending of the person, but from my point of view nothing has to do with you being male or female I have seen both men and women who dramatize everything

    1. It is open secret that since the beginning of times women have been viewed as the weaker sex, but is this true or false? Who are stronger, men or women?. From my point of view, the strengh of someone does not depend on their sex.

Nowadays, a lot of scientists think that women are stronger than men when it comes to illnesses, for example, Steven Austad, who is an international expert on ageing, and chairman of the Biology Department at the University of Alabama, says that “Pretty much at every age, women seem to survive better than men.”

He is among a small cadre of researchers who believe that women may hold the key to prolonging life, since there is a great amount of proofs that support this statement, for example, according to Gerontology Research Group, today, 43 people around the world are known to be living past the age of 110. Of these people, 42 are women.

To conclude, I would like to add the we should try to create a society where females and males have the same rights and they are treated the same, without any discrimination against any gender.

  9. Who has not ever heard to say that man is the strongest sex? Although, there are also people who say that women have more resistance to pain due to childbirth or discomfort of menstruation, but is this true?

A study by the University of Málaga revealed that the difference in pain resistance between the sexes was minimal. On the other hand we have a study of the University of Atlanta that observed that in the face of pain in the male nervous system there are a series of connections that give rise to the release of endorphins similar to morphine and instead in the female system produced very low doses.

In conclusion, there is no stronger sex than another, there are different people whose tolerance to pain may be lower or higher but if it is true that within our nervous system occur millions of strange things and it has been verified that women have greater sensitivity to pain. Another thing is whether women can resist more pain or not.

  11. Mums are the best things in the world. Who doesn´t love his mother? She is the person that looks after you when you don´t feel well and she´s the woman that helps you when you are in a big problem. It doesn´t matter how big the problem is, your mum and your family is there to help you. They also make delicious food. Who cooks better than a mum? No one! So remember, treat your mum correctly and take care of her a lot.

  12. Is it true that men are stronger than women?
    Do not.
Any woman can have three times as strong as a man.
University studies show that women with a cold or flu act stronger than a man.

Women who practice any sport are much stronger than any man you meet on the street.
