BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

What really matters in life

In the previous post we talked about the expression 'it doesn't matter'. Now it is time to talk about what really matters in life. We are not plants, so we always try to find a goal in life to achieve and even sometimes if you can't find it, you may break down and have problems to keep on living. That would be the case of lonely elderly people.

  2. Nowadays loneliness and social insolation are very common, specialy in older people. Many of these people live alone and they say go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member.

Loneliness can be very dangerous for health and it can cause depression and other ilnesses. Nevertheless, there are different ways for older people to connect with others and feel useful.

They can invite friends for tea, having a chat with a friend or relative over the phone, and if your family or friends live far away, you can use a computer to talk with them. There are so many things you can do!

In my opinion older people are very sensible and we must care of them. So, we can help them!

  3. Nowadays, in this country hundreds of thousand of elderly people live alone even are lonely in life and cut off from society. This happens especially to people over 75 years of age.

Many of these people spend a lot of time without talking to a friend , neighbour or family member. They can feel isolated for several reasons like leaving the workplace, deaths of friends or getting older. This can cause great problems because loneliness can cause big health problems such as depression and other illnesses.

Although, loneliness can affect anyone , of any age . not only the old people can feel this, many young people suffer too. They can feel isolated because they don´t have friends , they change school or places several time …

In my opinion we should care more older people and help them . In addition, we should never leave them alone.

  4. Nowadays, most old people feel lonely and suffer social insolation becuase in general they live alone, and for this people is more difficult to communicate with other.

On the one hand, insolation can be dangerous for everybody. It is true that there are persons who like be alone, but this is not say that everyone can have problems for feel lonely. This people do not know new technologies, and for they are more difficult communicate with friends or family

This type of problems are present in our society. For example, there are teenagers that do not have friends, for anything, and they can have a depression.

I think that young people should help old people, and we should all help to the people that feel lonely.

  6. Loneliness is more common than we think. Only in the UK there are more than 2 million people over the age of 75 who live alone and more than a million says they go out about once a month; but old people aren't the only ones who suffer social isolation, younger people can suffer it too.

People can become socially isolated for many reasons, like getting older, an illness or the death of a family member or a friend.

For this people it's easy to feel alone, which can lead to depression and a decline of physical health. People also don't ask for help very often, and they find so hard to reach out.

This people should stay positive, keep touch with family or friend and go out more often.

In my opinion we should visit people who feels alone and help them, especially old people. I think if we visit and help them, they won't feel alone.

  7. Many families in the past couldn't have babies and now they are alone and also their partner has died, these people are absolutely alone in their homes. If you add problems to move, illness or another type of similar situation, you have a person completely alone.
This can cause depression, some even commit suicide to avoid this level of loneliness. But the older people aren't the only ones that can think that they are alones. For example, the teenarges in the institute can be treat in a way that they think they are alone and nobody can help them. They often don't ask for help. If you like be alone, don't worry this isn't a problem but think always you don't go to be alone.
Remember meet new people, stay with your friends and family, explore the world. You can go to public locals for your age and discover a new world. The life can be more beautiful.

  11. Loneliness can – and does – affect anyone, of any age. Loneliness takes many forms and whatever the cause is, it can lead to depression and a serious decline in physical health and wellbeing. People can become socially isolated for a variety of reasons, such as getting older or weaker, no longer being the hub of their family, leaving the workplace, the deaths of spouses and friends, or through disability or illness.

Older people are especially vulnerable to loneliness and social isolation and it can have a serious effect on health.

Facing up to loneliness, in whatever form it appears, is an important way to administer self-care when your body is telling you that you need it. There are ways to overcome loneliness, even if you live alone and find it hard to get out: Smile, date nice people, invite friends for tea, keep in touch by phone, use social media or travel around the world.

Remember that what really matters in life is to go on and keep on living!

  18. When we think about loneliness we usually imagine old people living lonely without any company, but it is not always real because there are young people who feel lonely because they don't have friends, they change their school habitually. There is a problem which does not only affect old people. In England 2 more million people over the age of 75 live alone without speaking to any dear person.

These are some of the reasons why old people walk away from their families when they get older or weaker, leaving the workplace, the deaths of friends or disability or illness. This problem has to change, it can cause depression and a serious decline in physical health and wellbeing.

Some of the solutions that I think that can reduce the number of lonely people are visit the people who live lonely and usually give them company. Their family should make them sign up in a club where there are people of the same age so that they can make friends and live with them for some weeks.

From my point of view I have to say that loneliness is a big problem which has to decrease and we have to help people who suffer depression and other illness about this problem. Helping is always good and if we help the people they would be grateful with them.

  19. Not all people feel the same when they feel or speak of loneliness. Some people like to be alone in their space, to be with their thoughts, on the other side there are people who can not with loneliness just need to be with someone, to feel someone else's love. Loneliness lets you know is the only feeling in which you notice your faults, your fears, your dreams, your darkest secrets, your imagination. But loneliness soon desperate and you need to have someone to talk to you about your thoughts and that person understands you and hopefully she or he thinks similar to you.

  21. When we talk about a life, we´re talking about a long period of time. Obviously, in such a long period, a lot of things can happen. But, are some things as important as others?
Obviously no. Some people give more importance to some things that it has. Most people are only worried about how much money they have, and if they can buy all the things they want. But, in my opinion, money isn´t all. Money is important, of course, but you should care about other things like your studies, because that what´s makes a person cultured, your friends, because they´re the ones who are always there when you feel bad, and your family, the people who don´t care what you do and what you are, that will always love you.
You should be concerned about meeting people that really love and support you for who you really are, and not to worry about the new mobile phone that is going on sale. Many people forget this, and they only work and work to earn money, they forget their friends and family, and when they want to notice, they´re alone. Do you really think that when they´ll die, they´ll be happy with their lifes? I don´t think so.

  22. We think that loneliness is not common since we are accustomed to always being surrounded by people. but if we think of many families in the past who could not have babies and now are alone and also their partner has died, these people are absolutely alone In their homes. But older people are not the only ones who suffer social isolation, younger people can also suffer. This can cause depression, some even commit suicide to avoid this level of loneliness but this is both for the elderly and stopping teenagers.

People can isolate themselves by many things without themselves realizing what they are doing. For example, in the secondary school there are many adolescents who are alone because they are afraid to relate or because some adolescents ,who do not think what they do, can make fun of them and harm them both physically and psychologically.

  23. What really matters in this life is to find happiness, do what you love and care for our family.

In this hard year that we are going through the pandemic, the most important thing is to take care of our health and that of our family. Being at home for so many days has made us become a little more creative so as not to get bored.

All of us in this confinement have had to be creative, we cooked, we went back to exercising, we had to do something not to be bored. When we could go out to play sports or go for a walk, our mind was freed and we only knew how to smile.

I hope that every day that passes, I will be happy doing what I love, be it playing tennis or seeing my grandparents.
