BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Ready to resume activity? Some superfoods, just in case!

What do I mean? Am I asking you if you are able to "make a summary of the activity"?  WRONG!!!

When you are doing an activity, usually physical, for example trekking in the mountains, and you are using a device to keep a record of your activity ( a smart phone, or an app such as 'runtastic') and you pause it because you stop to have a break. Then when you keep on with your walking or whatever you will have to press the button 'resume activity' to switch on your device.

So most of my students have been great PROCASTINATORS this summer (you remember a previous post that talked about people who always leave whatever they have to do for a later time) and they really need to start getting ready for the coming school year.

PROCASTINATING would be impossible in the animal world. A cheetah can never stop hunting to live and stay strong...

...or a hummingbird drinking nectar from flowers or in water holes and they never stop flying!!

Some amazing facts about hummingbirds >>  another video!!!

Talking about feeding, as we need so much energy these days, have you ever heard of the SUPERFOODS? Is it really true all what is said?

Also superfoods help us in the battle against obesity, cancer, diabetes... This food has more vitamins and minerals than other kinds of food.
It easy to implement superfoods in your diet, basically, you need to organize yourself when you take this food or not because all food in excess is bad so combine between superfoods, meat, vegetables, pasta... Its okay eat superfoods for a better life.

  2. Superfoods are the ones that are supposed to confer health benefits as a result of exceptional nutrient density. The term is not commonly used by experts, dietitians and nutrition scientists, many of whom argue that certain foods have the health benefits claimed by their advocates. Even without scientific evidence of exceptional nutrient content, many new, exotic and strange fruits or "old" grains are marketed under the term, or the related term, superfruit or supergrain, after being introduced or reintroduced into western markets.

  3. Cheetahs are widely known to be the fastest animal in the world, and it actually makes sense and have some true in it. Cheetahs are prooved to be at least twice as fast as a human, to be more specific, the fastest human being known yet Usain Bolt, which fastest recorded speed goes up to 44.64 km per hour. When the less a cheetah is suppossed to achieve at hunting is 80 km per hour, and a top of 130. Both speeds achieve on activities that mean giving a 100% on a short amount of time, so comparing these two are completely valid. But while cheetahs are the fastest animals running, they arent truly the fastest animals. Peregrine falcon´s have showed to be able to reach 390km/h, this is basically when hunting it flies up before plummeting. So for me it is a bit of cheating, since if I jumped from a cliff with the enough height I would easily beat those 390km/h, but that´s enough cheating on the cheetah, i guess since the falcon can lift up and avoid death it counts to claim the record.

  4. Nowadays our diet is less healthy than years ago. Pizzas, burgers and other junk food can be a problem for our health. Fortunately, there are people who eats healthy food. They usually eat vegetables, fish or legumes. But there is a type of food called superfood that is also very important.

Superfood is a type of food which is very nutritive. This food has some antioxidants, which are thought to ward off cancer; healthy fats, which prevents heart diseases; fiber, that prevents digestive problems; and some chemicals with health benefits. Some of this kind of foods are blueberries, salmon, nuts and beans.

Some scientists say that the term "superfood" is a marketing tool. They defend that the food may be healthy but if the process is unhealthy,  the product is unhealthy too. For example, many fruit juices, which are healthy if they are natural, are unhealthy because they add too much sugar in it.

I believe that superfood is good for our health, but we have to eat all kinds of food in the correct amounts to stay healthy. Superfoods may be good for the health, but they don't have all the nutrients so we have to have a varied diet.
