BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  2. Oh, Halloween, I like Halloween. I like this day because I can dress up as a monster or any other creature to be scary. I love being scary with my friends, my cousins, my brothers... Halloween for me is a special day in the year. This week Halloween is on a Thursday, and I like that. Because when I leave classes, I only dress up and I will give scares and ask for candies all over town with my friends.

  5. A few days ago it was Halloween.
Halloween is the day we remember the people who died, that day children go out in the streets disguised as monsters asking for candy, some families gather to eat, the most common Halloween meals are chestnuts, roasted sweet potatoes, aniseed and the pumpkin soup.
In Spain, the Anglo-Saxon tradition is being incorporated since before in Spain it was only customary to visit the dead and bring them flowers.
There are people who are against incorporating that tradition in Spain but I personally think it is fun since when I was little I liked to go out with my friends to ask for candies.

  6. Nowadays we celebrate Halloween as a party, some families get together and eat different types of food and the kids go out to the street, house to house asking for candies wearing a costume, usually of a monster.
Halloween came from the fact that people thought that 31st October was the day that the souls of death people came out and went down the street. In the past the people gathered and made a huge fire to drive the death back to the spirit world and keep them away from the living beings. Nowadays this culture has dissapeared and not many people believe in goshts and they think that Halloween is just humbug.

In our days hardly anyone knows about where Halloween came from, and the old people say that in the past they didn´t celebrate anything they only got together and ate chestnusts and the drank anisette. My family or relatives don´t meet, but eat grilled chestnusts and we see a film.

In my opinion Halloween is a great party even though nowadays we don´t believe in ghosts, but we can believe in them for a moment when we see some great films.

  7. Nowadays, halloween, the most terrorific night of the year,is celebrated by many people like other parties of the year, but really, in this day in which we celebrate the day of died persons.

If we go out this night, we can see people who is dressed up like monsters, witchs, pumpkins, vampires… with the intention of be scary. It is more common in childs and we can see them asking for candies in different homes.

Depending on the city where we celebrate it, it is different each other. For instance, is not the same if we are in Mexico, where people usually dress up like caravels and they celebrate it like as another party. In Spain, there are people who do not like it because the day important for them is the day of died persons, where many people go to cementery, so they do not celebrate halloween.

In my opinion, I like the party because I go out with my friends and we have a good time dressing up and more, but we have not gone out to ask for candies since we have 12 more or less. We prefer all stay at home of some of us watching a terror film or do a party for us.

  9. Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31, and Halloween 2019 occurred on Thursday, October 31. Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.

Trick-or-treating is a Halloween ritual custom for children and adults in many countries. Children in costumes travel from house to house, asking for treats with the phrase "Trick or treat". The "treat" is usually some form of candy.
Halloween costumes are traditionally based on frightening monsters about films or stories.

In my opinion is a very nice party, but in my age I don't celebrate it like childs with trick or treat and wearing costumes, I do my own parties to celebrate this night. Recently, Halloween is very dangerous because some people use this party to wear masks and throw eggs or break things.

    1. Halloween is one of my favourite parties, it is celebrated on 31st October, and on this day we remember our people who are no longer with us.

The best thing about this party is to spend it as a family, as I do every year, eating chestnuts, asking for sweets, dressing up as monsters ..., but this year I have not spent it with my family and I have had a bad experience.

This Halloween I decided to go and ask for candies with my friends, on the one hand I had a good time watching as the little ones were excited to do trick or deal with their families and were so happy with their treats, but on the other hand I realized that people of my age have lost the enthusiasm of Halloween and asking for candies and sweets and now they are dedicated to playing video games in their homes, throwing eggs at people, breaking things ... and it's not the same as when we were small and we were excited about everything, now they prefer to have other parties in which they annoy others.

I still think that Halloween is a magnificent party and that it is a good day to spend with family or friends, but I also think that people of our age should not annoy others because they have lost their enthusiasm.

  12. Halloween is a night of fantasy and mystery where everything related to the world of the dead and the phenomenon of death, which attracts men so much, is remembered and represented. The origin of the populous Halloween party must be sought in old Ireland. On Halloween, everyone represents a great scenery in memory of loved ones already deceased and spirits.

  13. Last month was Halloween, it is a very fun night, because although it is the day we remember and bring flowers to our loved ones who passed away the children disguise themselves as scary characters and leave the town asking for sweets And treats.
Lately young people do not usually do that, what they do is throw eggs, toilet paper, break things and many things that should not be done, and together we must make Halloween the same as before and not do bad things

  15. Halloween is a celebration observed in lots of countries on 31st October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows´Day! How do people celebrate it?

To begin with, Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. Every garden is decorated with the main symbol of this feast – pumpkin. Usually, it is used to cut funny faces on it and is considered as a repellant from evil spirits. Another most popular Halloween symbol is black color that is why almost every costume includes something black.

Secondly, Halloween continues to be extremely popular with kids of all ages; 85 to 90 percent of children around the world go trick-or-treating or engage in other Halloween festivities every year, and many adults also join in on the fun. In fact, 65 percent of adults between 18 and 34 attended Halloween costume parties or other celebrations.

To sum up, Halloween is very famous all around the world and both children and adults enjoy it!

  18. Halloween is a party that is currently celebrated in practically the whole world and is very popular, especially among children. The word "Halloween" is a contraction of All Hallow's Eve also known as Witches' Night. This is a festival of pagan origin celebrated on 31 October and whose origins date back to an ancient Celtic festival more than 3,000 years ago known as Samhain.

Talking about its origin, although nowadays it is a day of costumes, sweets and children, its origins are not as happy. The festival was celebrated in Ireland when the harvest season came to an end and the "Celtic New Year" began, coinciding with the autumn solstice. It was believed that during that night the spirits of the dead could walk among the alive people. The ancient Celts believed that with the arrival of Samhain the line between this world and the world of the dead would get narrower and the good and bad spirits could pass through it. In addition, it was believed that the use of masks was to ward off evil spirits. Furthermore, there was a banquet at the graves of the family ancestors. Besides, the Halloween holiday came to the United States and Canada in 1840 through Irish immigrants but it didn't start to be massively celebrated until 1921, when the first Halloween parade was held in Minnesota. Over the next few decades, the festival became more and more popular. In the 1970s, it became more and more popular thanks to television series and films.

On the other hand, one of the most typical things about Halloween is the famous trick or treat. That night, all the children go out on the street in their costumes and knock on people's houses, asking for candy and saying "trick or treat". The origin of this is a popular Celtic legend. This legend says that on Halloween night all kinds of spirits could walk around the Earth and among them, there was a particularly evil one called Jack O'lantern, who would go around the houses asking for "trick or treat". According to tradition, it was better to make a treat, no matter what it cost as long as you didn't fall for his trick, which was to curse the house. Nowadays children go around the streets on Halloween night in their costumes, trick-or-treating and saying the famous phrase "trick or treat". If the residents of the house give them candy, it means that they have accepted the deal, if they refuse, the children will spend some kind of mischief like throwing eggs against the door.

In short, Halloween night is fun, but also a bit scary and we should not forget its history. In my opinion, Halloween is a party that we have adopted from other countries but it is still cool and I find it very curious to see everyone dressed up in the street.

  19. Halloween is a party that has been celebrated for a long time in the US and that has spread to different countries and is already like a custom in some countries.

Halloween is celebrated on October 31 and this party consists of decorating the houses with scary things, making and dressing up in a scary costume, either a monster or a mummy, etc. and finally they go by the houses asking for sweets or candies and saying the typical phrase "Trick or Treat".

In our country, as people are not very smart, what they do on Halloween is to dress up and even put on a mask so that they do not see their faces since that day they see it as a day to do dirty things in the towns or break things, such as throwing eggs at other people or at houses, that is why they wear masks as I said before so that people do not recognize them and so that the police do not keep their faces.

In my opinion, Halloween is a beautiful party for countries like the US and Canada since their populations are more responsible than those of our country and they also live it to the fullest since they are one of the most important holidays for them.

  20. halloween is a very special party in which we dress up as scary characters such as vampires, ghosts or witches ... People usually go to people's houses to say "trick or treat" so they can give you candy

Personally, it is not a party that I like to celebrate that way, I prefer to go with my friends to a house to see a scary movie or go out to dinner somewhere.

When it is Halloween, many events are usually done on TV, for example, they usually put scary movies at night or the programs are decorated with Halloween themes.

  23. Definitely, my favorite party isn´t Halloween, because I don´t like the idea that the objective is to frighten people. I think that is a terrific night for people that don´t love feeling frightened, like me.

However, I like this party, because I love wearing costumes and I think that it´s a party that you can wear like you want to wear. If you wear very ugly, it doesn´t matter, in fact, this is the objective.

About plans, I always spend Halloween in Lanjarón with my family and my friends. Every year, there is a party in the square, where children go to houses to say trick or treat, people cooks some chestnuts on an enormous fire, and next to this, there is a passage of terror, made by the people of the town. And then, a DJ puts music on the scenery in the square, but also there is a party in the pub, where there is a costume contest wich the best costume win a prize.

This Halloween I´m so excited because my friend is going to go to Lanjarón to spend Halloween with me and my friends of here, and all of us are going to wear pirate costumes!
