BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

It is said that we are far too many!!!!

Are we supposed to consider this issue as one of the BIG problems to solve in the future? Is climate change also going to be affected? Will there be enough drinking water for all of us? The population is growing bigger and bigger. And the bigger it gets, the fewer natural resources we've got left to live.

In contrast, families have fewer children these days in Spain!!!

I hope you have paid attention to all the PASSIVE VOICE examples we have seen. Here are some exercises for you to do:

  2. Overpopulation, it´s in fact a problem; but, what overpopulation is exactly? It's when some species have so much that the environment can't hold it. This usually happens with animals that are from other places and when they arrive to other ecosystem and without predators, the appropriate climate conditions the invasive species grows boundless.
Nevertheless, that can applies with humans to? The short answer is yes, it applies with humans to, humans are from Africa and from then we left to the rest of the world, almost without predators and with a more appropriate climate our species grows boundless, but the illness and wars low the population for ages, something similar happens with pigeons too. But nowadays, with the improve healthcare, that's no a problem anymore, and the population is growing until the point to become a problem for the entire world.
But the funny fact is that the poorest countries, are the countries with the biggest population, maybe, because the people there live a shorter life and then they have children more frequently. In these countries are so many young people, that the middle age is around 22 years. But in the other hand we have the fact that the richest countries have a older population, for example, here in Spain, which the thirst country with the highest death middle age in the world, when the middle age is around 44-48 years! That makes the people the contrary effect to the poorest countries. This mean that the most of the population live in very bad conditions, and most of the other live over their possibilities consuming more and more which makes the overpopulation problem even worse. One of the solution taking out a genocide is the inmigration, making that the other countries young people come to the richest, but there is another problem, people (most of then even think that their families were inmigrants in some point of the hystori) don't like or don't accept inmigrants or that many companies work with the cheap work of people from these countries.
In conclusion there is not a good way to face the overpopulation.

  3. Recycling is an act of utmost importance for society since it implies the reuse of elements and objects of different types that would otherwise be disposed of, contributing to form more garbage and, ultimately, continuously damaging the planet.

  4. Nowadays, overpopulation is a big problem that affects thousands of people in the world and it is produced when a high population density causes a worsening of the environment. However, overpopulation is different in each country and has several causes.

On the one hand, the world´s population is growing and it is not good that it is doing so fast. It could produce an accelerated depletion of natural resources, and therefore, conflicts between nations. Another consequence of overpopulation is pollution and its effects on climate change.

On the other hand, there are some areas that are really losing population, espeacially in countries like China and Japan where the births are dropping because of the low levels of fertility. But there are many other countries where people have shorter lives because of high levels of child mortality and violence.

To sum up, overpopulation is a big problem that has many effects but I think the soluton is not in our hands to solve it.

  9. Nowadays, there are many problems that affect environment. One of them is over exploitation, which was not a problem before because it took thousands of years to reach 5 billion people, but 32 years later there were 5 million. Therefore, experts think that by 2050 there will be 2 billion people.

On the one hand, some countries such as China and Japan have reduced their population due to lower fertility levels. Due to the fertility rate fell from 3.2 births per woman in 1990 to 2.5 in 2019 and experts say it will decrease more.

On the other hand, countries like Africa will double the population by 2050. In addition, due to the decrease in fertility rates and the increase in life expectancy, people reproduce less and live longer. So, this is another great problem because there are fewer people of working age and more older people.

To sum up, overexploitation is causing social and environmental problems such as pollution, malnutrition, resource depletion and gender inequality.

  10. Xavi Hernández is one of my favorite players. He is the best spanish player and the best middle center in history. He trained in the lower categories of FC Barcelona, better known as La Masia. He debuted in 1998 in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Mallorca and also scored his first goal.
He has forty titles in his medal list, among which four Champions League, one World Cup and two European Cups.
He has been a game distributor player and always with the ball on his feet. I think it will take me to see a player like him.

  11. Nowadays, we are about 2.600 million people living on the Earth. As you can see, this is a huge number, and even we can talk about overpopulation. Actually, it isn´t a problem, beacuse the planet can bring us enough resources to have a great life, but maybe in a few years, with the increase of population and the decrease of the resources, this can be a problem.

The climatic change is going to affect the whole planet, and it is going to make it less fertile, so we will have less food and less potable water. If this is true, we will be in a big problem, and we will have to survive with very few resources, and finding other ways to grow plants and purify water.

As a curious fact, many years ago some countries noticed that there were too many people living in the country, and to fight this problem, the government in these countries ordered kill poor people, or even they arranged a war with another country to reduce the population of both countries.

This isn´t a chance nowadays, but we need to find a solution to this problem if we don´t want to find us in a very difficult situation.
