BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Bread for today, but... (QUARANTINE: DAY 58)

... hunger for tomorrow!! (How do we say this expression in Spanish?) As I said yesterday, very few students are working properly lately and this could have disastrous consequences in the future. We could be talking of THE LOST GENERATION. Teenagers of today that are not doing things well that could lead them to a dead end in the future.

Now this is a question for my 1º Bachillerato students: What would Albert say now?

Albert: "I wish my students ........... do things properly and study more, and hand in all the homework I ask them to do!"

However, there is still some hope as the students who overcome this Coronavirus outbreak and its hurdles will surely be better students, more mature and more autonomous in their learning with new strategies. And the same will happen to teachers and the rest of our society!!!

Here are some articles to read about this problem:

  1. When the confinement began, I believed that this would last a little longer. But due to the data in the first month with those affected by Covid-19 in Spain, the confinement is lengthening.

We hope to be able to return to the 2020-2021 school year in September, let's hope that is possible and taht this war over.

  2. When we got the warning from the Alarm State, I thought it wouldn't last as long as it is. I hope it ends soon so I can see other family members. I think that this issue of Covid-19 will continue to grow due to people who break the rules.

  3. Nowaday, because of the coronavirus, many families are living really hard times. There are lots of persons in one little house, and since they aren´t working, they don´t have money to pay enough food for all. Other families aren´t living that hard situation, but in a non-far future, we´ll be involved in a crisis, so the taxes will increases, and maybe the salaries will decrease to some persons. The government is thinking how to carry this crisis, but this is such a hard situation, and no one is ready to lead a whole country under this situation.
Most citizens are complaining about how the government is doing during this pandemic, and are manifesting in the streets asking Pedro Sanchez to get out of his work. I think this is quite irresponsible, doctors are risking their lives to save people, and others are meeting crowdeds in the streets, shouting silly things to a build where ther´s nobody.
Is true that the government could have faced this situation better, but this isn´t the moment to reproach anything.
When this pandemic finish, we´ll probably have elections, and we´ll decide the next government. Decide well then, and don´t reproach anything later.
In my opinion, we have to keep calm and follow what the actual government says, only in that way, we´ll defeat the virus.

  4. Yes, we must respect all the rules if we want to meet friends again, give each other hugs, etc. You cannot say goodbye to the family with a hug or a kiss, and more if there are older people if they all do this, we will come out of this one, they are already investigating a vaccine , but we have to wait.
