Nowadays landline isn't any longer used or when they didn't exist at all.<br />The article says that more and more people remove their telephone lines because it's cheaper to buy a new telephone than to pay a landline line. For example, in my house we did the same thing too. We had mobile phones and the landline was without using, so we removed it. Also, there are more reasons to remove it. Mobile phones have the same use as the landline, and you can carry it anywhere you want, that the calls are going to ring in your phone. You can send sms with your mobile phone and talk with people, or send emails. Now with the smartphones the communication is easier and cheaper than landlines, so, I think that probably landlines in houses will disappear in a future.<br /><br />María Martín Arnedo, 1º Bach. B.
