BERLIN. a sad story with a happy ending (we do hope)
What an amazing city Berlin is! So full of history, of miserable and elated stories (look up EXTREME ADJECTIVES in English), of nice-looking gardens and palaces, of museums, of sad memories... but an example of how man can destruct something so beautiful and reconstruct it from its ashes.
A city where the past (How to use the PAST PERFECT, English in a Minute, BBC Learning English) meets the present!!
Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche is just an example.
However, let's begin with some information about Germany and how it was formed.
Can you speak any Geman? (Kennst du Deutsch?) It is not an easy language, so my piece of advice is that you should first have a good basis learning English, then French and a bit of Latin. You can look up some sites I have come across and that I have compiled here in this blog in:Ich bin in Köln geboren!!
After all this about Germany and the city Berlin, here are some exercises on English to do:
Learn a phrase about meeting someone unexpectedly: It's a small world (The English We Speak)
What is the difference between these two verbs: STEAL vs ROB? (English in a Minute)
Berlin is a really crowded city full of new and old cultural movements, this city had been suffer a lot, the Second World War is a good example of suffering, it was full destroyed and besieged by the Allies and the Red Army, thanks to them the II World War was ended, the only big problem that generated was that the Soviet Union divided the city with a big wall, The Berlin Wall, which caused hurt in the citizens and families on the divided city until the 1989, two years before the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
Currently, Berlin has a lot heritage from this periods, there are some rests of the wall, historical buildings and now moderns one, it’s the heart of the European economy and leadership with her president Angela Merkel and has a really strong influence in the European Union.
In conclusion, Berlin has suffer during all his life as a city and part of a country, but the experience show us that is a really strong capital, the most powerful of Europe, a city which backed from the ashes and divided families. A city who learnt from the history and forbid the nazi apologizing, a really European city who teach us the European values of equality, freedom and human dignity.
Berlín is the capital of Germany is one of the largest population in Central Europe with 3.77 mil lino inhabitants. Berlin is one of the most charming cities in the European Union as it has numerous places to visit su hijo as its 2,500 public parks, the Berlin Wall, and the Brandeburg Gate.
When I was traveling there I loved it since it was a city that surprised me for good since I was totally amazed with its gastronomy and it great monuments.
Woo, this Is amazin
