BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  2. One week ago in all over the world, people were only talking about one thing related with sports, and that was the European Basketball Championship. In this tournament the team that started like the favourite to win this tournament was France, because they were playing at home and moreover because they had some of the best players in the NBA, like Nicolas Batum and Tony Parker.

The other important rivals were Serbia, which had a great team with players like Nemanja Bjelica and Miloš Teodosić, who plays in Europe and in the NBA. Lithuania, which had a very young team with high expectations of doing big things in the tournament with players like Jonas Mačiulis and Mindaugas Kuzminskas, who played in our league, in the ACB. And, of course, we couldn't forget the Spanish national team, but they weren't apparently in their best conditions, because hey played without Juan Carlos Navarro, Calderón, Ricky Rubio and Marc Gasol due to different reasons.

It hasn’t been an easy tournament because all the teams played really well, but Spain won at least. They lost two matches in the first phase of the tournament against Serbia and Italy, in spite of that, they got over and they won against Poland and Greece. However, the big challenge was France, but Spain was able to win in the end in a tremendous match, in which Pau Gasol scored 40 POINTS which led Spain to an epic win. In the final they won easily against Lithuania, which didn't have their best day.

In conclusion, it was an exciting tournament with a tremendous Pau Gasol that gave us the pleasure of enjoying basketball once again and of watching how well he plays. In spite of the reaction of some French press saying that Pau Gasol was doped and more things that I didn’t expect from such an honest country. Nevermind, it was a memorable tournament for Spain. Now, we are on the road to Río de Janeiro!!

  4. Two or three weeks ago, there was the European Basketball Championship in which Spain played and won. It was a difficult goal, because France was the favourite team to win the tournament as they had very good players such as Tony Parker and also because Spain didn’t have Marc Gasol and other good players. But finally we did it!!!

The most difficult match was the semi-final against France. The French team scored all the three-point baskets, some of which were almost impossible, but they scored them! But finally we defeated them. Lithuania was supposed to be the most difficult, because they arrived at the final and they are very good, but in the end we defeated them more or less easily.

The best Spanish player was PAU GASOL!!!, who is, in my opinion, one of the best players in the world. Pau Gasol Sáez was born in Barcelona on 6th July, 1980. He is a Spanish professional basketball player who currently plays for the Chicago Bulls. He is a five-time NBA All-Star, and a four-time All-NBA selection and he has won two NBA championships.

  5. Although basketball is not the most important sport in Spain, the Spaniards had little makes big news when Pau Gasol and his team won the Eurobasket. All were awaiting the results of the matches that ranked our country.
Although some players are very famous and playing in the American League they have all proven to be very good and work very well together.
My favorite sport is football but I recognize that basketball is very interesting, and hopefully increasingly popular.

  6. Some months ago, the European Basketball Championship took place. It was a very intereting tournament because all the people thought that France was going to win . But, at the end everybody was wrong. Spain was the best team because all the players performed well. Pau Gasol scored forty points. It was spectacular!!! I didn´t believe it!!! In that moment , I felt very proud to be Spanish!
That day I learnt something very useful: we can get whatever we want if we work hard.

  7. I don´t like basketball very much, but I'm very happy that Spain won the Eurobasket cup. I know that the Spanish basketball team is very important, and has won many competitions. It has very good players as Paula Gasol, who is now playing in a Basketball team in the USA.
I prefer to watch other sports, for example: gymnastics, ice skating, ... but basketball is also a very nice sport to see with friends.
I hope that Spain win more competitions, as tennis or football. We have fantastic players and teams!!

With this championship Spain is assured to be in the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
