BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Lucille, my love

💓 It is not only a human being or a pet you can have this feeling for, but also a thing. 💘 Well, a thing with a soul, as it is the case of the guitar Lucille in the hands of BB King. It may look like a lifeless object, but in his hands it sounds full of life💖 Please, have a look at the lyrics. I'm sure you will enjoy the reading. 💗

Here we go (and another one)...

Christmas crazes

For a start, some questions on word formation (these are words that appear all along the post):
  • What is the adjective that comes from 'craze'
  • What is the opposite of 'take off' in this context?
  • What is the verb that comes from 'hopper'? Which animal do you know that is based on this word and that is the name of Swiss football team?
  • What do you think a 'herd mentality' mean? Tell me a job derived from this word. Do you think teens have a herd mentality, especially with regard to the Big Bottle phenomenon.

Listening exercise to do: 'Why do crazes take off?' (6 Minute English, BBC Learning English)
