What is left of summer '26?

 

 

Summer is over, although we can still taste it not just because the heat is not gone, but also because we have some good memories to remember for ever or even dramatic moments you will never forget. This summer could be an unforgettable moment as you passed an important exam, or got a post somewhere you had wished long before or just because you met the partner of your life...

 

  

Summer '26 can have also marked our lives because of the World Cup Spain won or because of a song you will have always in your mind since it was being played when you came across your prince/princess of your life.

 

By the way, what do you think was the best song of the summer? 

 

It may have been the hottest summer of your life, as well, or the summer when you made the best journey ever or spent the best holidays ever!!! However, it can bring horrible memories to our mind: wars, conflicts, loss of a relative or friend, the end of a relationship.

Wow! Rachnar has come back from Valhalla!!

 

 

More than 4 years ago I took a decision: I would never teach bachillerato again (Valhalla awaits Rachnar!!). It has been tough for me not to go all the way long with my students till the end and the results in the Selectivity exam have been quite poor lately. So I asked my students in 4º ESO if they would like to have me as a teacher in Bachillerato and most of the best students were delighted with the idea (Thanks for your support!!). So here I go again in spite of all the problems it may bring along.

 

It is a huge challenge for my students and me, so we will have to work hard and all of us should try to do our best.

My limit is the sky

 

 

Just after winning the US Open Final, Carlos Álcaraz was asked what his limit was and he answered: "My limit is the sky". 

On the one hand, we can think he was boasting about his abilities. Actually, he sounded a bit too arrogant and immodest. On the other hand, however, we may think he showed a positive attitude regarding what he can do in the world of tennis, and that he just meant he can keep on improving.

 

Sometimes we think we have reached the summit, but in fact this can also mean the beginning of the decline, so we should always try to aim at perfection but knowing that we will never reach it. We can fly towards the Sun, but we know we'll never be able to reach the Sun because the moment you reach it you will be your complete destruction.

Who is your September song?

I mean who has been your summer love. Apart from this, have you got any special song for the month of September? It should be a mixture of feelings between summer memories and the new school year challenges ahead.

 

September is a turning point in our students' lives, but it is usually for the better. It will probably be more demanding, but more rewarding at the same time.
