BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

FAKE NEWS!!!


We've got important events ahead in Spain: the General Elections, municipal elections, elections for the European Parliament... Apart from that, we've still got some hot issues to sort out: Brexit, Cristiano Ronaldo's latest scandals, rumours... And we don't really know if the news we get are true or just FAKE NEWS!!!! So it is not just matter that affects April Fools' Day!

 


Before, during the Cold War for instance, the problem was the lack of information, but now the problem is just all the opposite: loads of news, among which you never know which ones are really true or just fake. Social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter... contribute to all this world of misinformation.

 




So what is the meaning of 'fake news'? Can you give an example of a fake news that you have come across lately. What happens on 1st April?

Anyway, the more illiterate we are, the less ability we have to spot what news are fake.
