BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Walking among dishonest people

We are surrounded by thousands of dishonest people in this world: politicians, false friends, fake news... and when it comes to children, parents lie to their children in order to protect them, to manipulate them, to keep them in a coccoon...

I prefer to be honest with my students and tell them things straightaway so that they can face problems better and even avoid dramatic situations.

Here are some related articles you can read about the topic:

Here's a listening exercise to do: Lying to children (6 Minute English, BBC Learning English)

Activities for my 2º ESO students:  Watch the following video and write sentences with the two words.

Four things to remember about MAKE & DO   (English in a Minute, BBC Learning English)

Are you 100% honest or do you sometimes lie? During the summer time and sometimes in the flirting game, funny situations happen. Let's read this newspaper article and do the listening exercise later, then you can give me your opinion.  😎
