BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
There are so many dangers and risks in life juveniles know nothing about, so they'd better listen to adults and people with more experience when they tell them about them.
For instance, food is really relevant for our brain, so a balanced diet can enhance school performance. Here's a good listening for you to do about the issue:
We
are kissing July goodbye, as it is about to come to an end and we have
to check what we have done so far. Your English teacher has already
posted 6 blog entries so far this month, what about you?
Then do these activities related to the two episodes you have just seen :
1) Tell me what you are wearing right now.
2) What do these words mean in Spanish: tracksuit bottoms, cardigan & pullover?
3)
Let's suppose you want to go to a summer party. Describe the clothes
you would wear talking about colours, style, price, opinion/like,
size...
4) My friend likes wearing casual loose clothes during the summer time. Give me the opposites of 'casual' and 'loose'.
5)
Translate: El jefe lleva puesto un traje a rayas. La camarera lleva
una camiseta de colores brillantes. ¿De qué está hecha? Está hecha de
algodón. Yo estoy buscando una blusa hecha de seda.
Why can't people help doing things that should not be done these days like large gatherings, going to discos, meeting loads of relatives at the same time...? FOMO could be the cause!!!, that is to say, the Fear Of Missing Out something (which is actually the topic of one of the options in this Selectivity exam: The extraordinary life of Nikola Tesla & FOMO . Do you have a fear of missing out? )
We may have the feeling that this summer we are missing out loads of things, but the most important of all is LIFE and the wellness of our relatives, firends and all the people that surround us. So, for sure not going to parties, or to the beach, or on holiday abroad is not such a big deal!!!

Unfortunately, any gathering of people can be the cause of an outbreak, so no live music, no chance to go to a football match, or a tennis match, or a basketball match and, of course, no time for boozing all together!!!

WE 💗 HOLIDAYS !!!
(Click here to have access to the digital book: Cambridge University Press) You will do the first 5 exercises on page 97 to work on your listening skills and vocabulary. Then you will revise the GOING TO future for plans, intentions, decisions... on page 98 (do the first 5 exercises). Por ejemplo, si nosotros decidimos o tenemos la intención de ver películas en inglés durante el mes de agosto para mejorar nuestro nivel de inglés, diríamos:
Example: I'm going to watch films in English to improve my level of English during the month of August.
One of the cities with the highest death rates because of Coronavirus has been New York city and now both there and all over Spain masks are to be worn everywhere to keep safe.
So, if we want to stay healthy, wear a mask everywhere and keep the
social distance. This is not over!! And talking about the conditionals,
here's mmmEnglish doing some English Grammar Practice about First or Second Conditional?

WE 💗 HOLIDAYS !!!
(Click here to have access to the digital book: Cambridge University Press) You will do the first 5 exercises on page 96. Here we use the PRESENT CONTINUOUS to refer to arrangements ('ARRANGEMENTS' son acciones concertadas por varias partes, como si fueran una cita. Por ejemplo, la visita al dentista)
Example: I'm visiting the dentist next Thursday, at 10 a.m. (That means you have already phoned and have already arranged when to meet)
