BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Albert, your sledge hammer ;-))))

Your English teacher may seem to you as your sledge hammer because he is always telling you what to do, but the thing is that he does not treat teaching as an ordinary job. As well, remember...

Don’t treat love or leisure like a job (The Guardian)  Selectivity exam to do

In this world of machines you can be easily misled.

Here's a listening exercise to do: Rise of the machines (6 Minute English, BBC Learning English)

And now let's listen to this song: Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

Have a look at this version with lyrics. What does 'sledge hammer' mean? However, Sledge hammer! was also a sitcom in the 80's
