Thinking about you

As you may have noticed, I can't stop thinking of you and I keep preparing things for you (posts, exercises, exams...). This is a most common feeling among people who love each other as in the case of Lagertha and Ragnar in the series Vikings.

YORK 00: Farewell, Vikings!!!

Our Vikings getting ready to depart at our school entrance!!!

Already at the airport.

What a great day! Everything went super. No delays at school, no problems with our coach and trip to Almeria airport (what a cute airport by the Mediterranean Sea!), no problems at the passport control or at the check-in (Mari Carmen, the Active English Global House, was already there to check that everything was OK and to encourage the group to have a great time in York), excellent flight to Manchester and safe coach trip to York,
The weather has been excellent so far with no rain and mild temperatures. The group is really excited to live this unique experience. The host families came to pick us up and tomorrow will be our first day at school.
Sleep well and have sweet dreams after a long tiring day. 😇😇😇😇

Latest news: Some Viking girls found among our IES Mediterraneo students!!!

Today we were in Dublinia, which is a museum about the history of the city of Dublin? By the way, do you know what Dublin means? (Find the answer just below)

 

Dublin was an ancient Viking settlement. The Romans didn't dare come to these lands and so the Vikings stayed here for a long time.

We have learned about the way they lived, how they fought, the tools they used and even the way they dressed. Actually, we just happened to come across some Viking girls.

 
These were hard times especially for those who were naughty. Our English teacher has behaved very badly with his students, so here you can see what the Vikings did to him. God bless him!

Dublin meant 'black pool' because of the water. Here it is very dark as the soil is really black (That is also why Guinness beer is black). What else can you tell me about the history of this lovely city?
