BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  2. Lou Reed is an important musician in the History of rock’n roll, but i didn’t know much. The only influence about him I’ve had is that he recorded an album (LULU) with the famous thrash metal band.

I’ll write a small biography about him:

He was born in 1942, Brooklyn but later he moved to Long Island with his family.
When he was 14 his parents visited a doctor because they were frightened about the bisexuality of Lou and they subject him to a therapy. In the 50’s decade, be bisexual was very rare for the society.

Lou Reed really liked rock’n roll, and blues and he recorded a little disc with the band The Shades. In 1960 he went to University and he knew jazz and other music styles.
In 1964 he founded his best famous band: The Velvet Underground.

He passed some years of relax and then founded the group Yes with Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe but at few years the band was broken.

From there, he started a big career in solitary and it went better than with the other bands. He launched big hits as “Walk on the wild side” and “Perfect Day”.

In 2013 May he went on a liver transplant but his health didn’t get better and he died in October in Southampton (New York).
