Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

He is my grandfather´s favourite actor. My grandfather told me that his most famous movie was Spartacus and that he always saw it during Semana Santa.
He died on February 5, 2020 and the other day I read a notice that said he had left all his money to charity. I think it´s a nice action. Good for him.

  8. Issur Danielovitch Demsky, professionally known as Kirk Douglas (Amsterdam, New York; December 9, 1916-Beverly Hills, California; February 5, 2020), was an American film actor and producer. Among his roles, his portrayal of the painter Vincent van Gogh, in The Madman of Red Hair, and his leading role in Stanley Kubrick's film Spartacus stood out. For his extensive and renowned career, he received an Honorary Oscar Award in 1996. He was the father of actor Michael Douglas.

In 1949 his career took a turn when he played a boxer in Mark Robson's movie The Mud Idol, where for his realistic performance he is nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor.

Douglas's first television job was in 1973, at the age of 57, when the actor had already left behind his golden moment on the big screen. He starred in a musical version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, broadcast on NBC, shot in England along with Michael Redgrave, Stanley Holloway and Donald Pleasence.
He gave his films a distinctive mark, by the strength of his interpretations, and a reputation. It was said of him that he did his best in roles that required a strong temperament or a powerful presence, and that, in simpler performances, his work was forced.
