Commuter is a person who travels everyday to work. It happens in big cities, because people live outside the city, and live in the surroundings, because flats and food is cheaper.
ResponderEliminarIn Spain, we can find commuters in Madrid and Barcelona. You have to take the tube, the train, the bus, etc, to go from one place to another. I have an aunt in Madrid, and some cousins, and they travel everyday, for one hour or two.
I don't like to spend a long time in transports, so I prefer to live in small cities or villages where everything is near.

There are lots of people who spend about two hours in subways, trains, buses, bikes everyday. But there are also about 900,000 people called 'Supercommuters' who are en route for more than four hours. In my opinion it's very hard! You spend almost the same hours working than the hours you spend going to work.
I reckon this happens especially in cities, because I live in a village and I spend only ten minuts to go to the school. However, I remeber when I was in Bath. We spent in the bus which we took to go to school for more than an hour! It was terrible.

Regarding the definition of "Day in, day out" is an action we do every day, every day, that is, usually.
Today, many people travel day in all kinds of transportation to get to work as buses, cars, trains ... The commuters may become nearly two hours by bus or train to get to where they work , and supercommuter can become more than four hours, it's amazing.
In short, I live in a town where there are many shops and businesses work, why to buy other things move us to Motril which is less than fifteen minutes, I think I have a great advantage to live where I live because it's quite close and we can enjoy more of our free time.

Journeys are more usual than 30 years ago. People used to work near their houses, but now, they work near or far from their house because if the don't have work, they have to get use to working wherever that they found a job.
ResponderEliminarMost people spend about 2 hours approximately on road, and that is an inconvenient. Some of them complain about that and they say that their work day is longer than the one if people who lives near their job, and for that, they usually complain for their salary.
The mean of transport more common is the car, but there are other means, for example, the bus, the train, the underground... In addition, now there are new systems to travel, like Blablacar; it is a platform in Europe which connect people who need travel with drivers who have empty seats, so, you save some money on travel and you reduce the impact on the environment.
At this case, we are also a commuter, because we have to move to Salobreña everyday to study. On the contrary, we go by bus and we only take about 20 minutes travelling.

Currently many people work in places away from home for many reasons.
ResponderEliminarFirstly, many people work in large cities but live far away because it is expensive to live there, so you have to travel many kilometers to work every day.
Moreover, in Spain, it isn´t normal for here the cities aren´t so great and people are going to work but don´t take too much. But in countries like the US, people lives far from the cities on farms or in neighborhoods and need drive many kilometers to arrive. It´s normal to hear in movies that people take an hour or two to get to work because it´s a very big country.
Those commuters or supercommuters spend many hours of their life in the transport and sometimes we can see them reading books to pass the time fast.
I think the lifestyle of the people who work in big cities isn´t healthy, but if you want to work should do so.

But there are also about 900,000 people called 'Supercommuters' who are on route for more than four hours. In my case and the student ESO: Lobres, Molvizar and Itrabo, we tenemo to grab a bus that takes 10-25 minutes depending on where you live, is a little heavy because you have to get up early and walk to the bus stop bus every morning another 10 minutes.
