BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. Nowadays, people have many options to do related to studies. We can do from a university degree to professional training, and there is a very wide range of specialty possibilities. Despite all these opportunities and options, there are people who prefer taking a gap year, but, is it a good option?

Not everybody likes studying and going to class to learn things as the traditional way that most people do. A gap year is when somebody decides to have a “free” year, and they often spend that year travelling and relaxing. It can be a good idea if they want to do next year something that is going to last long and be tough. In that case it is a way to clear your mind. Besides, there are other people who don’t know what they like most or what they want to dedicate themselves to, so they decided to take this year to have new experiences and find it out.

Nevertheless, it can also be a lost year if they don’t know how to make good use of that year. The brain is a muscle which must be trained and ready to study, so if you decided to have this gap year, it would be untrained when you decide to come back to start studying. Most of these persons who decide to do it they are young people, and when they are elder, their memory and concentration aren’t the same as before. They may regret and wish to come back to take advantage of that year.

To sum up, taking a gap year has advantages and disadvantages and each one has her personal opinion about it. In my opinion, if you really are going to benefit from it and be productive in another way, it is a very good idea. From my point of view, I would do it when I finish university and I want to travel, meet new countries and have new experiences.
