BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Wild wolves not to be hunted in Spain any more!!

The hunting of wild wolves is to be banned at last!!! This was a wish Dr Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente had long, long time ago. But who was this great man?

Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, the Spanish David Attenborough

Some videos about this great man, who was a naturalist and broadcaster (in Spanish):

There has always been a controversy between those people protecting these wild animals and those people affected by the attacks of the wolves on their herds of sheep, cattle... and that is the main issue of this new law.

Here are some articles for you to read about the issue:

  1. Fortunately, they eventually banned it, because it was a pretty bad hobby for people. Many people enjoy hunting and some even mistreat animals, but they do not realize the damage they do every time they are tortured or every time they hunt one. I give a thousand thanks to that person that thanks to her the wolves could be happy running through the forest. I believe that more things have to be prohibited, it is good that they prohibit that, but there are more animals that will need help

  2. The ban on the hunting of wild wolves seems like a good action to me, nobody would like to be killed for no reason. Imagine that you are a wolf, and you are with your cubs doing anything, and a hunter arrives and takes you or takes one of your young. The wolves have had a hard time until this day when their hunting is prohibited, now they can be much calmer and continue with their normal life.

  3. I think it is a good idea for them to stop hunting wolves, because sometimes hunters hunt too many and because of this many other animals have become extinct.

It is really not bad that animals such as wolves hunt, the really bad thing is that they hunt too many, until reaching a point that is dangerous for the species and they become extinct or are in danger of extinction, for example the amount of fish that are fish a year is very surprising because it is a massive amount

That too many wolves hunt not only affects wolves, it also affects other animals that belong to the same food chain

  5. I don't have much knowledge about hunting and I don't know if it's a good thing. But like everything when you abuse it, is bad and that can cause the extinction of some species.

The Iberian wolf is one of the most emblematic species of the Iberian Peninsula.
For many environmentalists this is a historic day, as the have been fighting for many years trying to ban the hunting of wolves in Spain.

Hunting too many wolves affects the other species of the forest, which see how the amount of food available i reduced and many end up leaving the place or dying of hunger, the entire trophic chain is affected.

I know many people who have hunted in their life and say that it is something cool but that you have to be careful because there are weapons that can kill you. I personally do not like it because for so many people who hunt there are species like the fox that can become extinct.

  8. I agree to stop hunting wolves. It's a good idea, because if hunting is abused, this species will end up becoming extinct.

I know people who like hunting and they enjoy hunting very much. It's entertainment for them, but they can make a species endangered.

The hunting of wolves not only affects them, if not all the forest animals, because their disappearance would cause a lack of food for their predators.

  9. I have always hate the hunt or something that makes animals be in danger or have a bad time, I think that animals have feeling like humans too, they suffer and have a bad time because of us. I things that in some aspects humans are the most monster and bad persons of the world. We damage plants and animals with out nee it, and the wold is going worth and worth because we don't know how to look after it.
In stead of plants trees or look after them we cut down lots and lots of forest, instead of be careful with the animals in danger of extinction, we go and hunt the few lefts, in stead of defend and report the bullfightings, we applaud it and we put it like a tradition or culture, sincerely it is shameful that after so long society continues like this. Some times I don't understand the world.

  13. Hunting is not something that I am passionate about, but as long as there is a control so that these species do not put themselves in danger of extinction. I, I have been hunting and although it seems that it is not a jobbie that is very hard because you have to go walking in search of the prey.

Many of the inhabitants of my town are amateurs, also here in my town there is a preserve and many friends of my father tell me about his experience, almost all when they spend time hunting is on the weekend, because between week they have to work. There are many people who spend nights in the country to see if they can hunt some prey and they go all weekend outside their homes because hunting is their passion and they are fond of it, but that for me is already an obsession.

Friends closest to my father tell me anecdotes and I like them many because they often make people laugh. I think this jobbie is not bad but as long as he is restricted, because the animals that are in the field have no fault of being killed but hey we can't do anything else to him.

  15. Since this month wolf hunting has been banned in Spain, which seems like good news, but not everyone agrees.
Environmentalists have been fighting for a long time to stop hunting the wolf in the peninsula. As I have read, the presence of the wolf is of vital importance because they say that it is key to Iberian biodiversity.
But this isn´t the case for ranchers. They think that all this works against them because if the wolf population cannot be controlled they will receive more attacks on their livestock.
I believe they should not hunt them so that the enviroment is balanced. But I also understand ranchers who invest time and money in their livestock.

  16. Today, many people still live of livestock farming and have to work hard every day to maintain their own home, family, and have something to eat. The problem is that now, wolves are attacking livestock animals.

Iberian wolf has become yet another problem for farmers. Previously , they were concentrated in the northwestern corner of Spain but, in recent years , they have moved southwards attacking livestock. In Ávila , farming is by far the main economic activity and farmers have insurance which gives them compensation after losing an animal to a wolf attack but , this insurance doesn´t cover the full cost of veterinary charges.

This situation has created controversy politically because the wolf is protected from hunting in all areas south of the River Duero. However, in 2013, the main political parties in Ávila, which is below the Duero, contradicted this regulation to make the province “wolf free”. That means that Iberian wolf could be hunted anywhere in the country.

I agree that this can create controversy but, I think that kill animals is not the solution .

  17. I believe that like Dr. Félix Rodríguez, there are many people who want this too.
It is good news, because if the hunt of wolves had continued, the moment would have arrived when the wolves would have extinguished.

I know people who love hunting, but I have never liked it, and I think that I will never like it, because I don't like seeing how they kill animals.

In conclusion, if there is too much hunting, like all the things, it will be bad. So if you hunt, you have to do it with moderation.

  19. I think that hunting so many wolves affects the rest of the animals, it is best to stop hunting wolves, since we abuse the quantity, so it ends up causing the extinction of these.
It also not only affects wolves, but also other animals of different species that share a food chain, and this would be broken by the disappearance.
Things like this are what make us go around destroying the ecosystem.

  20. I think that this new law is very good because we do not have to hunt animals by being able to save them.
I see it unnecessary to kill them, if they eat the herds or other animals they can put more security and everything is fixed and it is not necessary to hunt any animal.
This is very good because afterwards the species become extinct and we run out of species and this cannot be done.
They have done well to put that law and that they cannot be hunted. We have to kill as few animals as possible because killing them is not good.

They should live in all kinds of areas because they adapt well to changes in the environment, but since man appeared they have exterminated because they kill them because they eat their cattle or sell their skins in black markets.
In my opinion, it is not necessary to kill these animals to show them in front of people as has happened in Asturias because they do not know that they are doing something bad, they want to survive and they kill to feed.

  22. It is true that wolves damage the livestock industry and all sheep herders, but this is not a reason to wipe out the wolves because this is the cycle of life, they have to feed and clearly they are going to go after their prey and that is not the reason to wipe out the wolves.

You have to think that we humans are destroying the world and species all over the world through pollution and nobody wants to destroy us, so I for one think that what we have to do is to take more precautionary measures.

  23. In my opinion hunting is unnecessary, if it´s not to get food, because it´s based on making an animal suffer. I find it horrible when people show the animals they hunt as trophies and are proud of it. Sometimes I think that we should advance more on behaviors like these, because of our faults we are destroying many things and harming thousands of animals.

I think it´s very good news that they stop hunting wolves, because if they continue to kill them it can cause them to disappear, and, apart from being beautiful animals and that would be very sad to stop seeing them in nature, this would also cause many problems in the ecosystem

I think there should be something that prohibits the killing of animals as they kill a lot of animals thinking that they cannot be extinguished and this is not the case.

What you should not do is mistreat animals, there are programs that teach sites that have animals that say that they take good care of them and then it is a lie or that they use animals to get money, they do shows with them and people go to see it and get money but people do not see all that animals have suffered to make that show.

In my opinion I believe that we must take care of the animals so that they do not become extinct and that our descendants can also see them.

  27. What fantastic news! I do not know why it does not exist before. Everyone knows the wolves' situation. They are in danger of extinction in Spain. Time ago, in Sierra Nevada, wild wolves were living there, but now there they are no longer.

Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente was born in Spain at the year in 1928. He was a famous naturalist and a great defender of the wolves. He studied medicine and learned biology by himself. He carried out various radio and TV documentaries. But above all, his most famous documentary was "El hombre y la Tierra."

On the 4 of March of 1980, he died in a crash plane in Alaska with another four people. He wanted to record the "Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race." It is speculated that before he got on the helicopter, he said: What a beautiful place to die! All about the crash is mysterious. People say he was killed due to his growing political popularity though he was not interested in this.

I grew up with "El hombre y la Tierra" because my father is a big fan of him. He even has a ringtone from the documentary. I think that he was a great man.

The wolf usually lives in the wild. Sometimes farmers have their animals near the areas where the wolf lives. The wolf can see the animals like food and hunt them. As a response, the farmers hunt the wolves. If people continue hunting wolves, they might dissappear. But this situation will change with this new law.

Wolves are very interesting animals. They sometimes "adopt" a cub of another animal and raise it. There are some stories about children who have been abandoned and after that, they have been raised by wild animals, mostly wolves. These children usually find very difficult returning to a normal life. Most of them don't learn to walk or talk and a few of them can even kill themselves due to their mental problems!

In conclusion, wolves are very interesting animals and there are a lot of things to learn about them. Hunting them is a big mistake because if we hunt all the wolves, other smaller animals like rabbits will start to appear everywhere.

  40. The hunting of wild wolves has recently been banned in Spain. This fact has been a highly debated issue by society, as it is a very controversial issue. There are several positions regarding these animals and their hunting.

On the one hand, there are those people who defend the hunting of these animals, as they have had several bad experiences with these animals, and even several attacks that have ended the lives of some people.

On the other hand there are those people who defend the rights of these animals. These people argue that despite being wild animals they are not dangerous, because if they don’t feel in danger they don’t attack people, they only defend themselves when they are in danger or when you try to harm their young.

In conclusion, despite having various opinions on this subject, it is great news that hunting of these animals has been banned because although there are people who don’t think the same, these animals are a link in our food chain, and if they disappeared there would be a serious mismatch in our world as we know it.

Banning the hunting of some animals is very important, because there are hunters that don't care about the problems that give us if some animals become extinct, because if it happens we can have lots of problems, because each animal is a link in a chain, and if it doesn't stay there, other animals that eat this animal will become extinct as they don't have anything to eat.

In the past it was a very important man who was really concerned about this issue and the possible extinction of wolves and his name was Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente, who used to do some programmes about all types of animals, and you could see him on TV, and he was in favour of protecting these wild animals. In my opinion, he was a great man. But unfortunately, he died in 1980 in an accident.

In my opinion, if we ban the hunting of all the wild animals, we will be in a correct way, but if we continue allowing the hunting of these animals they will become extinct, and we won't be able to do anything because it will be too late. So, we need to think about this, because we have an opportunity to do something.

  45. The wolf, one of many animals in danger of extinction, has returned to Belgium this winter after decades of persecution. Many people in Spain and other countries are dedicated to killing them. For that reason, the hunting of these animals has been forbidden in Spain.

Many people think that wolves are harmless animals able to adapt to living with humans. When we hear the word "wolf" the first thing we think is that it is a bad animal which cannot get along with people. But the truth is that these animals have lived withe people. An example of that is Marcos Rodríguez Pantoja, the man who lived twelve years among wolves. He says that the wolves accepted and cared for him when he was little and for him, the wolf is the friendliest animal he has known.

On the other hand, there is the problem of those who do not accept them or who think it is a problem for humanity. The main reason they don´t want wolves is because they think wolves are "demonic killing machines" that ruin farmers. Wolves often come to farms at night and eat sheep and this is annoying for farmers who are dedicated and live exclusively on livestock. However, the government offers financial support to help wolf-troubled farmers switch from sheep to cattle.

In conclusion, wolves are creating serious problems for farmers. In addition, they are in danger of extinction because many people hunt them. From my point of view it is good that the government wants to forbid the hunting of wolves because in this way they will be protected.

  46. Hunting as leisure, especially that of the wolf, delves into the difference of classes. Who can pay thousands of euros for killing a wolf or wolf? People in rural areas do the dirtywork, bid for them, build the damn, illegal booths for the waiting and provide the carrion, like bait.

The peoples in coexistence with the wolf behave as valuable reservoirs of the interaction between the two species, the origin of the mixed culture that we have been generating. This is shown to us by stories that have come to the present in the form of stories, fables or transmitted legends.
The wolf has a very important role as a regulator of natural balance and natural selection so it turns out to be one of the most important guardians of the balance of forests and other habitats it occupies.

In places where the wolf has disappeared or has been significantly reduced by man, an imbalance occurs that affects the entire ecosystem. The wolf as a predator hunts down sick individuals which prevents diseases from spreading between the species and weaker individuals, which helps to make herbivore species stronger and reproduce in a balancedway.

My view is that wolf hunting should be completely prohibited as as I said they play a very important role in our ecosystem, it should not be legal to kill animals for simple fun or hobby.

All over the planet there are many animals in danger of extinction and others that have already become extinct due to the little care we have had and continue to have, this is truly a disgrace and we should start raising awareness and not only with the animals but with the planet whole, since because of our bad head the planet is very bad.

He has tried to change many things about animals and finally one of those things has come true, since he has tried that the hunting of wolves was forbidden and it has finally been done.

I think that these extinctions are not going to stop until people will have their eyes and realize what is happening, since there are thousands of species in extinction and very few people do something to change that, that is, both I Like you, we should do more of our part to change the planet.

Although, in many countries the hunting of these animals is prohibited as in Spain where many people continue to kill them. Have you ever thought about the problem of hunting animals?

On the one hand, banning the hunting of some animals is very important due to each animal is necessary to maintain our ecosystem. In addition, many people think that these animals are very dangerous and that they do not give us anything, but this is false. For example Marcos Rodríguez Pantoja is a man who lived twelve years among wolves and he has confessed that the wolves were like his family and even that they took care of him

On the other hand, Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente was a naturalist and a reporter who helped to ban the hunting of wolves. He had a lot of repercussions in the protection of animals because he used to do a lot of famous programs on TV about animals. Last but not least, the real problem is that if some people, even if they are few, continue to hunt endangered animals, one day these animals will disappear forever and the problem will have no solution.

Taking all into account, not only do I believe that the government has to find a solution before it's too late but I also think that it should be the people who are aware of the problem and change.

  50. Fortunately, the wild wolf stops hunting, this wish was what Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente wanted to get.

The wild wolf is one of the key species for the ecosystem. Many years ago, this animal was on the edge of extinction, and many people have claimed its protection for years, and fortunately they have succeeded.

Who was Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente? This great man was born in 1928 in Poza de la Sal (Burgos). During the Civil War, he was educated at home and spent much time outdoors where he developed a deep passion for the natural world. He made several successful documentary films and this allowed him to study in profundity the behavior of wolves, coming to live with a herd. From 1974 he realized his project “man and earth”. On March 14, 1980, while filming an episode of this series, the plane in which he was travelling crashed and died.

Finally, the wolf should not be hunted because it is an animal that balances our ecosystems. I am very happy to know that it will already been prohibited to hunt this fantastic animal.

  55. The hunting of wild wolves will finally be banned !!!

I think this is great news because wolves are very important animals in our food chain.
Today there are many animals in danger of extinction and a few years ago wild wolves were also in danger of extinction. Some people asked for this species to be protected, but others did not want it since they had a fondness for these animals.

Finally I believe that we should take care of the endangered animals and also the wild wolves because this is also their planet and they have every right to live comfortably on their own planet.

  56. The wolf is a species of placental mammal of the order of carnivores. The domestic dog was considered a member of the same species according to different indications, DNA sequence and other genetic studies. Today it is considered a different species. The first fossil record dates back to 800,000 years. Wolves were once abundant and were distributed throughout North America and Eurasia. Currently, for a number of human-related reasons, wolves only inhabit a very limited portion of what was once their territory.

  57. Finally, the hunting of wild wolves that is forbidden is one of the best news of this year, since in recent years the population of wolves has dropped a lot in such a short time, with this, the endangered wild wolves do not enter, already there are quite a few animals in danger of extinction and quite a few that became extinct because of man.

It does not matter to him all this, they just want to verse well with their skin or with their horns.

  58. I think the excesive hunting in Spain is a big problem . The wolfs are fantastic animals, they go in herds to hunt and they are so inteligent . The wolfs suppose a problem for the farmers, they eat the sheeps or other animals in a farm . 2500 wolfs remain in Spain , their principal habitat is in the north of the river Duero . They live too in Castilla la Mancha , Galicia , Asturias , Cantabria , Pais Vasco , La Rioja , Madrid and Castilla y Leon . On the 22nd of September 2021 all of the wolfs in Spainwere protected. They are 16 species of wolf, beetwen them there is the Canis Lupus , this specie haves 37 different species .

  60. Félix Rodriguez de la Fuente was a young naturalist known as the "Friend of Animals". He regularly posted articles about animals and nature. In 1968, ADENA, the association for the defense of animals, was born and Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente was its vice president. In that same year he was in charge of directing Fauna, his own television program and in 1973 "El Hombre y la Tierra" which would make him one of the most popular and beloved people in Spain. He was in charge of saving threatened places, including the Doñana park.
He was also in charge of environmental education among young people, instilling in them love and respect for nature. For this, ADENA launched the first summer camps where many young people in Spain contacted nature and learned to know and respect it; every summer Felix spent a few days with the youth camping, going on hikes and sharing stories.
He died when he was traveling to Alaska to record a "Man and the Earth" program. His death shocked the country.
My parents remember that program and say that they learned a lot about the variety of Spanish animal species that exist.

  61. The wolf is in danger afextion animal so it is protected and people cannot hunt it.
Wolves are mammals and carnivores so cattle are in danger, they attack cattle without thinking. For this reason the farmers hunted them. They eat wild and domestic animals: hares, bistons, oxen, goats, sheep, rabbits, horses...
    Wolves are very interesting animals
They are nocturnal animals, they hunt their food at night and rest during the day.
    They are incredible animals!
    They howl to communicate.
There is a leader of the pack.
They have a great sense of smell: they can smell prey long before they see it.
Unlike the dog, the wolf is not domesticated by man.
    They are very intelligent animals!
They live in a pack. They have highly developed senses, especially smell.
In conclusion. We must take care of the animals so that they do not disappear and our children can also meet them. We should not kill animals because we no longer hunt them to survive but as a hobby.

  62. The wolf is an intelligent animal, but the people say it is dangerous even though that's false because the wolf doesn't attack humans if it doesn't feel cornered. Some people want to have a wolf in their house but this animal cannot be domesticated.
Wolves have a big head and longs legs, they have got a good sense of smell. They live in Eurasia and North America, in snowy areas or deserts in Arabia. Wolves are carnivores, they eat a lot of types of big animals, for example: deer, sheep, elk and goats. Moreover the wolf eats fish rodents and birds. Wolves live in herds and there is a leader in this herd, which leads the others wolves when they go hunting.
To conclude the wolf is a beautiful animal but you can't have one because it's wild and lives in the nature.

  63. I think the wolf is a significative animal for me . Why? I've been in a football team called "Asako" Their Team Mascot was and still is the wolf becouse the wolf is a brave animal , an animal that helps his pack, letting the older wolves go ahead and the rest keep up, an animal that respects and empathizes with his pack. The "alfa" wolves go behind protecting his family and his pack. Definitely the wolves are The most respectful animals with respect to their pack.

  64. I also agree with Dr Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente in defending wild nature. He was a great advocate of the wild wolf and the imperial eagle. I know many people who also do not agree with the hunting of wild animals because it impedes the natural life cycle of animals. Hunting also contributes to the loss of biodiversity of protected species. There are poachers who hunt to make coats with the skin of that animal and other people do it for fun.
