BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

I'm a pessimist and I'm happy to be one. I have just read the article by Michael Mosley, it is very interesting but it also annoyed me. Why is it that everyone seems to think that pessimists want to become optimists? I admit that being a pessimist might be a bit depressing, but I'd rather be a little sad than be some happy-go-lucky optimist that lives in a rose-coloured world, which is far away from reality. Optimist always think that everything is going to turn out right and if you're not cautious they can lead you into a situation which is depressing for everybody, not just the pessimists. It can be fun to have optimists as friends, but they can be quite unthinking sometimes. They should listen more often to their pessimist friends who give them good advice. Optimists often get hurt because they think everything is going to be alright and when it doesn't they fall into depression and it is usually a deep one.
ResponderEliminarThe outlook on life of both pessimist and optimist has value. We would do well to listen to each other. Only then will we have a balanced understanding of reality.

I’ve read and listened to these articles and I’ve found them really interesting, because I didn’t know that the scientists knew ways to change the state of mind of a person using simple therapies, like relaxation.
ResponderEliminarFirstly, I think it’s a breakthrough of science, because nowadays, it’s very useful for everyone, since they can avoid many pessimistic people to suffer mental diseases as depression, without having to take medicines like pills.
From my point of view, everyone should make these simple tests to avoid stress and to have a better life.
Although this is a new discovery, everyone should know it and have access to it. In addition, these treatements would be defined as “a healthy medicine” that can get people to live ten years more, like the articles said. In this way, people would be happier, and probably, many wars could be avoided.
Finally, the science has managed to control the genes and to modificate them in spite of seeming impossible, to have beneficial results. It’s a big step in the evolution, because like Winston Chruchill said, "A pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

ResponderEliminarPessimist: A pessimist is one who thinks negatively to any situation, and you think you can not achieve anything in your life, just say negative things, your self esteem is low, lack of optimism and perseverance, to be like them must be low self-esteem, loving and have no lack of affection.

I have just read the new and I think that is incredible as the twins can be so different. They are similar physically but different psychologically. One is optimistic and the other pessimistic. Consequently, pessimistic person suffers many depressions.
ResponderEliminarFortunately, science has discovered new techniques and treatments to improve the quality of life of pessimists. By doing this, this kind of people can see the positive side of things and they can be more happies.
On the other hand, the scientifics have discovered some news about pessimists people. For example, children who received more affection in their first years of life. they will be optimistic and happy adults.
In conclusion, it seem to me that we should see always the positive side of things and search the solutions of problems.

ResponderEliminarI've listened to the listening exercises, read the articles and done the exercises, and I have found all of them very interesting. The articles asked if people are pessimistic or optimistic. Scientists are studying what happens in our brain, when we are disgruntled or we are in good spirits.
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion, on the one hand if you are pessimistic you will have a lot of depressions or psychic diseases that can produce a lot of bad things. However, the only favourable aspect about this is that you never relax when you sit an exam and you never get surprised when the teacher gives you difficult questions to answer.
On the other hand, optimistic people help the other people when they have problems or they are depressed. Although, if you are too optimistic and you can be too confident, and people can think that you are conceited.
All in all, nowadays there are a lot of treatments for pessimistic people, and these people would live more. Because when you think that all is half-empty like my mum you are always depressed like my mother.
