BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

MIND AND BODY: Buddhist retreat centre in Las Alpujarras

At the moment we are studying in 2º ESO how to train our brain and how yoga can help students by means of strengthening the links between our mind and our body.

Here are some interesting links and videos about the world-famous Buddhist retreat centre we have in Las Alpujarras, a perfect place for meditation:

  1. I think that doing important things relaxed is very good helps you concentrate more and relax . Yoga originated in India . There are simple yoga exercises for example breathing , visualizations and strange chantins . In Britain are doing yoga exercises in class to help studets relax and concentrate more.
I think that is good but I'm no practise . I should try it , because I'm not relaxed to any site .

  2. Doing yoga is very important and I think everyone should do it, but not everyone can do it, many people haven't got time, maybe because they have to study or work. Now students are more stressed, because they have important exams and they need pass it, but they should relax.

Yoga can help you concentrate more and be happy. If you live stressed, you won't enjoy your life, you'll be always angry or worried. You can go to the beach or countryside, and watch the sunset, listen to the birds and relax. When you are doing yoga, you can control your breathing and you can sleep better. Running, walking or cycling relieving stress.

People have many ways to stop have stress, they can smoke, hit things, bite their nails, but this is bad.
When I have stress, I dance, I feel free, or draw, and listen to Lana del Rey, is perfect. Before I take an exam, I eat a chewing gum or candy, breath and think positively.

  4. In my opinion sometimes we have to relax, when we are stress above all in holidays. Some people prefer to go to the beach, other want to go to the mountains, other want to go to spa... But the important thing is to relax and have fun. Now, in summer people prefer to go to the beach. I don't usually go to the beach, I usually go to the mountain and I visit France.

The problem is that some people like students relax too much at school for example they don't go to schools one or two weeks and the students whose parents force his children to go to the school they are bored at school and they don't do anything.

I haven't gone to the Buddist retreat centre in Las Alpujarras, but I think in the summer I will go there with my parents, but I am not going to the spa I only going to visit it. My father has already gone there.

  5. i don´t know many things aout Buddism, but I have read some things in Internet about it. I understood that it is a kind of religion which looks for the peace of mind and body.
I think that all the things which we can use to relax are good for our health, because we live in a very stressful society, and we have to use these things to stop a little and have a rest.
I have been in Las Alpujarras several times, but I didn´t know that there was a Buddhist centre there. It is a good excuse to go again!! It seems very interesting!
