BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

  1. Coronavirus has changed our lives this year. We can't hug or kiss ourselves and we can't meet many people. At this time of the year, not doing that becomes very difficult because many people meet relatives that live abroad or very far and they can't meet during the rest of the year.

Although there are so many restrictions, we can meet a few relatives. Then, we have to have a big table so we can stay far from our guests. It is also important to have the windows opened and wash our hands, and if we can, we should not to share the food.

In my case, I'm not meeting anyone this Christmas. I am having dinner with my mum and my stepfather so we don't need to have all windows opened. I'm not going to visit my grandparents because they have diseases and it would be too dangerous because we don't know if we have covid.

In my opinion, we should stay at home at Christmas this year and be responsible. And if we meet someone we should wear a mask and keep the safety distance. Soon we'll get vaccinated and we'll meet our relatives again!

  3. The coronavirus has changed our lives this year. This Christmas is going to be different from the previous ones due to the pandemic we are experiencing.

During these Christmas holidays I usually meet with my friends, cousins, uncles ..., I also go shopping in Granada and I also see the lights, also my friends and I usually get together and have a small party .....; But this year there are many restrictions and for example this Christmas we will not be able to meet all together, since there are many of us and the number of people in family gatherings is restricted and large parties cannot be held.

One of the plans on Christmas afternoons is to watch movies or TV series with my sister or play board games. One of the Christmas movies that I and my sister have seen is called Christmas Chronicles.
I also usually go out with my friends in the afternoons. My friends and I usually go to bars for dinner but this year the restrictions of the bars are limited and we order food at home to take it at a low level, complying with the safety distances.

This Christmas will be celebrated more at home and with fewer people as a family and very close, and enjoy as a family watching a movie, singing Christmas carols ...
    !Merry Christmas!

  4. This year, Christmas is going to be different due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most families will not be reunited so as not to put health at risk.Have you ever thought about what this Christmas would have been like without the coronavirus pandemic?

On the one hand, a recent study has shown that most of the older people are feeling lonely during this pandemic because their families are not going to visit them so as not to put their health at risk, but instead they are suffering from depression and spending their last years of life without the company of their family and friends. Therefore, this Christmas will be much sadder because we can't meet with our grandparents. Besides, we will not be able to meet with family or friends who live far from us.

Furthermore, the coronavirus crisis has caused that many children not to. receive gifts and many families can’t eat typical Christmas foods or even they don't have a place to spend Christmas. So, it is very important that this year more than any other we donate toys, food or even money for those people who have been more economically affected by the pandemic.

On the other hand, we should try to enjoy Christmas as much as possible. However, we must be very responsible not to cause more deaths from coronavirus. So, we will not be able to make parties or meet with many people to avoid crowds of people. Among the most common Christmas plans are: watching Christmas movies, playing board games, cooking Christmas recipes or doing sports with our families and friends.

Taking all into account, not only do I believe that we should try to leave home as little as possible to control coronavirus infections, but I also think we will be able to meet with family and friends, keeping safe distances and with masks.

  7. Christmas in Spain has always been one of the most important holidays in Spain since thanks to tourism a lot of money is made, it seems that this year will be different, because because of the coronavirus it seems that there will not be as much tourism as usual .
But that does not mean that we cannot enjoy Christmas, because with the security measures you can enjoy a lot.

For example, you can go to eat out in a restaurant with the mask and respecting the distances or you can eat at home and invite part of your family.

Christmas is a very beautiful celebration full of happiness, children have new gifts, it is a shame that it is not the same as always.

But we can enjoy Christmas in a slightly different way, for example: you can watch movies on the sofa with the heating on and thus spend time with your family playing board games, I also think that Christmas is time to be with friends and enjoy, But many of them are from other towns and as it is not advisable to go to other towns because I enjoy playing the computer with them.

In my opinion, this Christmas is not as hard as it seems, you just have to realize that it will not be the same as others, when you realize that you can enjoy this Christmas with your family and friends without the need for parties.

  8. Christmas is one of the most important times of the year in Spain where people take advantage of holidays and meet old friends. Moreover, Christmas is time to relax about school and to enjoy with your family and friends.
There are many types of celebrations in Spain such as Halloween or Easter week, but Christmas is special. Children enjoy their presents and they are happy to see the illuminated streets.

However, this year, Christmas will be different because of the global pandemic we are living. No big parties can be held and the number of people in family gatherings are restricted. Pubs and restaurants have their schedules and their capacity very limited. So, this Christmas will be celebrated more at home and with fewer people.

One of the most common plans to do at Christmas and that has been very common during the quarantine is watching tv films or tv series in family, playing table games in family or doing activities together to strengthen the bond. There are many types of films and the most common one during this time of year is Christmas films such as The Grinch or Last Christmas. Another typical aspect of Christmas is Christmas carols. The most famous one is All I want for Christmas but you can listen on the street to other carols like jingle bells, white Crhistmas, we wish you a merry Christmas..

To put all in a nutshell, we should enjoy the time with the family whatever way because it is very important to hold together. Moreover, we should enjoy the little things like simply being on the sofa watching a film with the lights of the Christmas tree on and drinking a hot chocolate or eating popcorns with the fireplace next to you.

  12. Christmas is a time when we are in family, but this year is different as the coronavirus appeared at the beginning of the year generating a global pandemic and a emergency sanitary. So we have to be careful and take precautions to finish this

This year we can´t make parties or meet with a lot of people as we not only harm ourselves but also others, for the dinner of the most important days the number of people are restricted, the Schedule of pubs, stores.. are established by the governement. So the better thing is stay at home and meet with less people, but if we meet with friends or family we have to wear masks and take the social distance.

This health crisis has made us value the little things, we shouldn´t get closer to older people as if we are infected the older people can get ill and have a hard time and even lose them. We have to be more careful, this christmas we could have fun without a lot people. We could made sweets, watch films, play games with our family…

The most important thing is be together and have the best we can, rest to return with charged batteries and enjoy the people next to us. It won't be the best Christmas but I'm enjoying it

  13. This virus has away from our family, and this Christmas so different and rare we won't be able to be next to them.

This Christmas we must be much more responsible, so that next year we can be with our loved ones. Last year my family gathered at home to say goodbye to the year, but unfortunately this year I'll say goodbye the year with my parents and my sister.

We must be aware of what we have to do or not, since we are playing our health and that of others. In my opinion,as a precaution I would avoid go out to the street not much, and also not travelling to the second residence.

Finally, for me Christmas is being one of the strangest of my life, because I can't be with my loved ones. I hope that this situation will end soon.

    ¡Merry Christmas!

  14. This Christmas has been different to other ones, I ate with my uncles and cousins but my grand parents haven't ate with us, we ave wish them a "Merry Christmas" but we haven't seen them yet because we need to be careful, we need to wait a little bit more because the vaccine for the Covid-19 is nearly yet ready, when my grandparents have it I will give them all the love that i don't give them all this year, I really want the moment to come.
I think that I am too lucky because all my family and friends are healthy and happy and not all the people is as luckily as I am, so I am happy within what fits.

  15. This are being such an odd Christmas, no kissing or hugging your loves ones… but what else could we expect? The festivities are just being as bizarre as the rest of the year.
I’m also afraid of people’s behave and all the irresponsibilities that can be done. Apparently we have been able to make it through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (even though a patient doesn’t show symptoms until three days have passed).
The worst is still about to come with the New Year’s Eve and the New Year celebrations. I think so because unlike Christmas this celebrations don’t use to involve being with family that much, being a time for groups of friends to go to parties, which can increase the number of infection.
Finally, all is up to us and to be responsible to past through the festivities the best way, helping everyone and us in the making

  16. It´s Christmas time and we all know what that involves: parties , Christmas festivals , meetings with friends but , do you think it is appropriate in this new normal life ?.

Christmas is a beautiful and special time to spend it with your family and close friends but this year because of the coronavirus pandemic it is clear that is going to be very different, but for that same reason it is going to be so special and surely a Christmas to remember forever .

Many people have chosen to be at home during christmas dinner and be only and exclusively with their family as there is a limited number of people to gather in order to reduce the risk of infections. Moreover , in Spain , if you want to go out with some friends both on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, you have to pay attention to the time because there is a limited time to be at home.

Perhaps, this is not going to be our best Christmas but I´m sure were are going to enjoy the little things like we have never done before and remember to put on your mask !

  17. Our lives have changed because of the pandemic. During most of the year, we have been in our houses loocked down, and when we have been able to leave, we have done it with precautions. We have to wear masks and we have to be careful and not get too close to people.

At that moment, it is Christmas, and although it should be a time of family reunions and happiness, it isn’t. We have to beware, because if we don’t pay attention to what we do, after this holiday, the situation is going to be worse, and probably there won’t be enough means. It is true that it is so difficult not to be able to meet our friends and all our family, but in the long term, we are going to be thankful.

Nevertheless, if we watch the news or if we go to buy something at a store, we can see that despite the masks, it looks like any year. Crowded streets are all that we can see. Everyone is looking for the best present but we have to pay attention to where we are going to be, and avoid these situations full of people and where the risk of contagion is slightly higher.

To sum up, even though it's Christmas, we have to be careful and think about our family and how to do our holidays in a better way to avoid a great third outbreak. In my opinion,we have to think that next year we will live in the new normal if we take precautions now

  18. We are living a different Christmas. We can't do what we used to do years ago; meeting lots of friends, big meetings, visiting our grandparents, going on holidays… Instead of that, we are spend some calm Christmas with our parents and siblings, and maybe some cousins.

Perhaps it is a good time to watch movies, or play board games, sing Christmas carols... We can also visit the rest of our family or hang out with our friends, but always with a mask and respecting safety measures.

I would have preferred to spend some normal Christmas with all my friends, have small parties, visit my grandparents, be able to go out and see the lights ... But if we do it well this year, next year we can return to normality. At least I hope so!

Maybe this is not the best Christmas, but I think that this way we are all learning to value every detail more and to enjoy the little things that we thought were insignificant, but that now we miss as much as a kiss or a hug. Despite that, I think we are all enjoying this strange, but special Christmas.

  20. This pandemic has changed all our lives, and this year is very different from all the other years, and we are spending such different Christmas' holidays, because a lot of reasons.

This year we can't gather with all our family and we can't dinner together. Other years I used to go some days to my grandmother's house, but this year I can't go with her for precaution, because my grandmother has some illnesses, so now I don't usually visit her. Other years also came here some of my cousins, who lives in Barcelona, but this year they can't come and they really want to visit us all the years, and as they can't come now, they will probably come in summer if the situation gets better.

Furthermore, we must be sensible and enjoy Christmas as much as possible, always respecting all the security measures that we have and not doing any foolish things. We can enjoy Christmas, for example, watching movies or tv series, playing some board games, we can do some sport in home and we can do many other things.

In my opinion we are going to spend some bad Christmas, but we don't have any other option if we want that everything will be okay, and think that next year we will do all the things that we could do in the past.

  22. Christmas is one of the most exiting time of the year for many people. It´s a special occasion to get together with family and friends and stay closer to them. However, this year that is not going to be possible, at least not in the way we wish.

We all Know about the difficult situation we are having this year because of the coronavirus. It´s for that reason that we have to be especially careful this Christmas. Even so, we must not forget that it is time to celebrate and have fun with the people we love. If we want to have a safe Christmas it´s important to keep the distance and wear our masks.

Limits on the number of people are other important points to consider during the holidays in order to reduce the risk of infections. In fact, restrictions around much of the country do now allow to have larger gatherings with our family and friends, always respecting the security measures. Many families have chosen to celebrate Christmas at home and with fewer people.

To sum up, we should enjoy Christmas with our family and friends but without forgetting the rules and restrictions. In my opinion, if during the holidays we try to do the things well and we follow all the precautions, next year we will be able to return to normal.

  23. This Christmas has been very different from other years, at least for me, since almost every Christmas I go on a trip, I go to visit my family, my friends and this Christmas I have spent more with my parents and my cousins, I went to visit my family for several days but with a mask and a safe distance.
Although this Christmas we have been like this, if everything goes well, Christmas next year will be as before, but in order to return to normality we need to respect the measures that there are to not get infected, there are people who comply with these measures but others do not and they have parties, many people gather, without a mask or safety distance.
I do not understand how there are people who see everything that is happening and do all those things, all those people who have parties, they are people who in their family will have been lucky and will not have had the covid but there are many families who are going through it wrong and I think we should pay attention to everything they tell us and everything will end faster.

  25. I've watched the video about the differences between play, do and go. In my opinion the "rules" are very useful to help you to remember when you need to use them. These are my examples: I play basketball twice a week. I don't do karate. I go swimming in the summer. However, as the man said in the video, there are exceptions: for example you don't do chess; you play chess, but it isn't a team sport or a ball sport.

  27. Christmas is one of the most magical celebrations around the world. Unfortunately, this year, Christmas is going to be a bit different due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Families across the world are being allowed to gather over Christmas but they must take many precautions.

Although we are going to spend our holidays marked by the virus, it shouldn´t affect our Christmas spirit. It´s the season when we should all put up a Christmas tree, decorate the house, prepare the traditional food and listen to Christmas carols. What’s more, we can see and talk to our family and friends through video calls.

Focusing on the coronavirus, there are some guidelines we should all follow in order to prevent the spread of the virus these holidays. On the one hand, we must celebrate Christmas Eve dinner only with our family members and with a maximum of 10 people. In addition, authorities recommend not to visit relatives or friends for our own safety and protection. On the other hand, we have to keep social distancing, wear face masks and wash our hands frequently.

In conclusion, it is clear that this Christmas will be unlike any other in our history. In order to spend the best and the safest Christmas , we have to do things properly and comply with the rules set by the authorities. The safest celebration of these winter holidays is to stay home.

  28. Christmas is usually a time for gatherings ,spending time with our loved ones and expressing affection. However, 2020 has been a rather chaotic year and it has unable us to celebrate them as we used to. We had to be very careful and to limit our contacts in order not to spread the virus.

Many friends and family couldn't get together. It could be said that they have been the loneliest and saddest Christmas most of us have ever had. But we must have a positive mindset and think that by the end of this year the vaccines will have improved the situations ,and we will be moving towards a covid-free society. Everything will be different and we will enjoy the company of our closest family and friends.

However, as we have seen, not everybody has followed the instructions given. Many families still gathered and a lot of people went shopping for the Christmas gifts in large shopping centers, which led into huge crowds. As a result we have faced another wave of the virus. The situation is now worse than ever, our town is in a risky situation and it seems like we don't see the danger anymore, specially young people, who still going out with their friends like nothing has happened.

To sum up, as far as I am concerned, this Christmas has been a very unfair time. Most us had to sacrifice our celebrations to protect society while other people didn't care enough and have made the situation worse. Anyway, if we hadn't done that the results would have been by far worse so we have to be proud of ourselves.
