Anyway, sometimes we do look like fools!!! especially when I see the streets so full of people or such crowded bars and restaurants. We have to be sensible and patient and we will be rewarded with a Covid-free world!!!

Today April Fools Day is celebrated in Spain and although it is a celebration that is not taken very seriously here, although it is something quite funny, although some jokes are in bad taste.

ResponderEliminarHave you ever been stung by a jellyfish? I haven´t but I´m sure that it´s not funny and I also know that it´s a bit painful and even some stings can be mortal.
ResponderEliminarI live in a coastal town so I love summer and swimming in the sea but the worst part is when the sea is full of jellyfish because I can´t swim comfortably. In addition , the fact that there are jellyfish is something that usually drives away tourists or children because it scares them.
The jellyfish is a marine animal with a strange, jelly texture which is floating in the water . In fact, its shape and texture is often confused with a piece or plastic bag !. Scientists have discovered that these creatures could give a solution to the problem of plastic pollution in the seas. Jellyfish has a sticky , jelly-like mucus , which is like a viscous substance that has absorptive properties because particles can attach to this mucus , so jellyfish can be used as a magnet for the microplastic particles.
I think that this could be a very good idea to give a solution to this problem but that would involve that there were a big number of jellyfish.
It is interesting to know that studies say that an animal so hated by tourists and people who live in the coastal areas of our country can serve to carry out a cause that is costing us a lot for the Spanish, such as pollution.
ResponderEliminarI did not know anything about this until I read this article and it seems a thing that is very curious and interesting that an animal like the jellyfish is capable of absorbing microplastics and that great scientists affirm it.
From my point of view it seems to me a very curious thing because pollution is taking its toll on us and it is something that we must fix now because it can harm us for tomorrow.

ResponderEliminarI have read the lyrics and listened to the song. She says that her lover prefers alcohol rather than her, although she has tried to help him. She went to the doctor's, and her father wanted to talk with him to improve.
She only wanted to love him, and when she understood that she couldn't be more next to him because he used her and treated her like a fool girl, she left him.
Although it's a song, and most probably it's fake, I support the character resolution. It's better to be alone than with a man that doesn't treat us as we deserve.

ResponderEliminarWhen I was little, I really liked Fools´ day because in “Menuda Noche”, a program on the Canal Sur, they made special episodes in which they made jokes on famous people such as actors, singers or tv presenters. I had a lot of fun because I used to think that they were really dumb for believing those jokes.
ResponderEliminarIt´s not a day that is usually celebrated in Spain, but some funny jokes are usually made among relatives or friends. I like jokes, but I can't do them because I always laugh and spoil them, so when my friends want to make a joke, they always make it on me. Also, I get scared very very easily so they give me a lot of scares to make me scream.
It´s true that sometimes we seem stupid, and with this situation we are showing it. No one should skip the curfew or restrictions, or have big parties where there are large gatherings. Finally, if there is another outbreak, it will harm us all, and I think we all agree that we don´t want that to happen and we want everything to return to normality as soon as possible.
Aretha Franklin expresses a clear heartbreak in her song “Chain of fools”. She feels betrayed and disappointed, specifically like a fool, as the title says. She was idealizing a man who later turned out not to love her as much as she thought. It's a beautiful song, and also, Aretha has a great voice so it makes it even more special.
