BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

The clay season has just started... in Montecarlo!

Without Rafa Nadal on court, but with Number 1 Carlitos Álcaraz, the clay season in tennis started a few weeks ago and this is the moment for our Spanish tennis players. The first big tournament has been held in Montecarlo, but the winner this time has been the Italian Jannik Sinner.

Meanwhile, matters in the world still remain unsolved. Talks in Pakistan has not been very successful, war doesn't find an end, innocent people keep being killed and the economic crisis is becoming a reality. At least we have some good news from space mission Artemis II returning home safely from their trek around the Moon.

  1. Exercise 5 Page 72

How much of what you see online do you think is false? Most of it, quite a lot of it or not much of it? I think quite a lot of what I see online is false, especially on social media. Many people share information without checking it, so sometimes I can read things that are not true. However, there are also reliable websites if you choose careful.

Have you ever seen a deepfake? Do you think they will be used widely in the future? How? Yes, I have saw a deepfake once in a video. It looked very real, and it was difficult to know if it was fake or not. I think deepfakes will be used more in the future, both for entertainment and also maybe for bad puposes like spreading fake news.

Do you think you've ever shared something online that was false or untrue? I think I have shared something online that was false, but I didn’t know at the time. After that, I learned that it is important to check the information before sharing it, because you can confuse other people.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting news from social media? Social media has some advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it is very fast and you can get news instantly. On the other hand, a lot of information is not verified, so people can believe fake news easy.

Why do you think people publish clickbait? Do you ever look at it? Why/ Why not? I think people publish clickbait because they want more views and money. The titles are very exagerated and sometimes they are not true. Yes, I sometimes look at it, but when I open it, I usually feel disappointed.

What conspiracy theories have you heard of? Why do people sometimes believe them?I have heard about some conspiracy theories, like the idea that the Earth is flat or that some events are controlled by secret groups. People sometimes believe them because they don’t trust the official information and they want simple explanations for complex problems.

  4. People want more money with less effort because they naturally try to get better results with less work. This idea is known as the least effort principle. In modern capitalysm, people admire success and high income,so many search for easier ways to earn money.Money can give safety, freedom, comfort, and more choices in life.Technology and social media often show quick success stories, which influence people’s thinking. However, this can create false expectations and make people feel unhappy when real life is more difficult than what they see online every day.

  5. Choosing a country to live in for the rest of your life is a very important and personal decision.I believe people should not focus only on money or job opportunities, but also on quality of life.A country may offer high salaries, but without safety, good healthcare, and a peaceful environment,it may not feel like the right place.Factors such as climate, culture, language and work life balance are also very important. For example, some people may enjoy the lifestyle in Spain, while others may prefer the career options in Canada. In my opinion, the best country is one where you feel comfortable, safe and respected. It should be a place where you can grow, build relationships, and enjoy a stable and happy life over many years.

  6. In my opinion, each member of a family should have different roles based on their age,but all should support each other.Young children should focus on learning basic skills, respecting others and developing good habits through school and play.Teenagers should take more responsibility, help at home and start thinking about their future goals.Adults should work, provide stability and guide younger members with patience and understanding.Older adults can share experience, give advice, and help keep family traditions alive.I believe a balanced family works best when everyone contributes in their own way, according to their abilities. Age should not limit value, but guide responsibility,so every person feels useful, respected and connected within the family unit over time together.
