BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

We can't stop working

The life of a student or a teacher is like that. There are no Sundays or holidays!!!  We can't stop working as we have so much to learn and the chances are few, as the song says. However, this is amazing side of these two jobs: you never get bored!! Anyway, if you like your job, that will be no problem.

My encouraging song to help you keep working: (I can't) Stop Loving You by Toto. Here's a version with the lyrics for you to sing along!! And here's another version by Ray Charles.

How hard it is to learn English!!

Despite of all Albert's speeches in class telling us how easy English language is, many students find it really hard to learn. As it is the case of plurals in English...

This is just because the English language has different origins (Latin, French, Germanic languages...) and, for instance, Spanish has mainly one.

Here are some activities for you to do and you'll see how easy it is.

Octopus, an unknown amazing creature!!

According to experts: "Octopuses are ocean creatures that are most famous for having eight arms and bulbous heads. Some other fun facts: They have three hearts and blue blood; they squirt ink to deter predators; and being boneless, they can squeeze into (or out of) tight spaces."

Click here: Octopus facts (Live Science)  for further information.
