BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

What is a you problem?

Teachers can help students learn to a certain extent since there is a time when these difficulties become 'a you problem' as it is the students' responsability to make the final effort. Teachers try to smooth these hurdles in the learning process, but I'm afraid they cannot go any further. Follow their advice and if you don't, just save your tears for another day!

The English We Speak:  A you problem  (BBC Learning English)

Actually, it is not even a good thing when it is too easy for the students. Remember Albert Einstein's words: "I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn."

Anyway, you don't have to learn many things by heart to say "Hey, Albert, see how fluently I can speak English! Eat your heart out!" , but be careful when playing poker not to  wear your heart on your sleeve so that the other people sitting at the table can see how you feel. Here you've been presented with 3 expressions connected with heart. You can check the meaning of each of them just below in the English in a Minute section.

Feeling being at sea?

You are in the middle of August and you feel being at sea as you don't know exactly what to do. Just don't worry and carry on with your life, there are plenty more fish in the sea and you never know who you will meet in these two weeks or later at school. You come to the beach or a party and there is a sea of  individuals in front of you and you have to be sure before going to sea because it can be for ever. Here you've been presented with 4 expressions connected with sea. You can check the meaning of each of them just below in the English in a Minute section.
