BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

A little gift for you (QUARANTINE: DAY 33)

Gifts are usually given on special occasions and today this a very special occasion because this is the post number 800 since we set off on this digital journey 10 years ago. So congratulations to everyone because neiher my students nor I have ever chickened out (almost 15,000 comments have been made). And now we see how useful it can be for our teaching-learning process of the English language, especially in these dramatic conditions. I also feel really proud of you all to participate in this DIGITAL PROJECT with your own blogs and sites!!!

Anyway, even if I'm getting old, I haven't forgotten about my little gift. Actually, it is a gift from Burlington Books (which we all thank). You have to click on GET YOUR FREE READERS and the code is just below.

Burlington Books is pleased to offer you FREE ACCESS to the complete Burlington Digital Readers Library until 31st August, 2020!

  1. Gifts are given in special situations, for example on birthdays, at Christmas, at family parties, ...

Gifts are that little detail that makes you a special person for you, but for me gifts are not just material things. The gifts for me are the hugs of my mother, the scolding of my grandmother, the advice of my friends, the jokes of my brother, ...

but I am also excited to open gifts on my birthday, but especially when I like to open gifts the most is at Christmas, because there is a gift for my whole family, and I love to see the illusion on their faces, because even if it is not a very expensive gift is very special to us.

I love gifts, because they are a way to reward your effort.

  2. What better gift than this Alberto. The first thing to congratulate you for all this effort that you are making for your students and your students for you, ten years soon say working on what he likes the most, which is teaching English.

Fifteen thousand comments is a lot of comments, I have sixteen comments and my head is going to explode, because I no longer have ideas, so you correcting all the comments must be crazy.

The truth is that I wonder how you can find time for work and for your personal life. It is one thing that I have always wondered about taking time for your students, because in addition to our course, it also has the other 4th and 1st courses... I hope your students give you more happiness than anger.

    And enjoy your work.
