BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Sleeping like a log

Sleeping is essential in our lives and for our health. You may have some sleep disorders when you've got exams the next day, when you've got a problem to solve... or just because you are getting old. Yes, because babies usually are an example of good sleepers.

However, now young people are having more and more problems with sleep. Why??? And this is obviously affecting their success in life.

  1. Many times when we talk about insomnia or sleep problems we relate it to playing video games until very late because many adolescents happen to have problems sleeping for that reason. I very rarely have problems sleeping, normally if I play late I have no problems sleeping but sometimes I have, but not because of video games, it was because I was nervous and stressed for some reason.

Sometimes stress and nerves are also very important when we go to sleep because if you are stressed it is very difficult to sleep because you do not feel comfortable. If at any time you cannot sleep, you can try to do something that relaxes you enough to make you sleepy.

  3. Sleeping is essential in our lives and if we suffer sleep disorders, it can cause us severe health problems. Millions of people around the world suffer from a sleep disorder nowadays.

On the one hand, more and more young people are having sleep problems. There are many types of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, nightmares, and night terrors. However, one of the main reasons why it affects young people is due to the continuous use of mobile phones and tablets. Blue light emitted by smartphones and tablets is known to reduce the natural production of melatonin, the hormone that makes us feel sleepy.

On the other hand, there has been a pronounced increase in cases of anxiety and sleep disorders among mothers due to the coronavirus lockdown. Social isolation, loss of employment, financial problems, fear of getting infected with coronavirus and home-schooling all contributed to the trend. Researches found that women, especially those aged 16-34, had experienced a deterioration in their mental health during the pandemic much more than men.

In conclusion, we have seen that anyone can suffer from a sleep disorder. Sleep is very important when trying to have good health, so it is essential if we all live a more relaxed and healthy life.

  4. Sleep is essential to be healthy, because if you don't get enough sleep you could fall ill or even if your brain does not rest you could die. I usually sleep ten hours, days when there is no school. But on days when there is school, I usually sleep seven or six hours.

As people get older they are more tired, and have more trouble sleeping than when they are babies or young. There are also people who when there is an exam the next day, they cannot sleep because they are nervous, I include myself

So I think that we need to give more importance to sleep instead of give it to other things.

  7. We need to sleep well to be more active the next day, although now we sleep poorly for many things.
Since young people are currently very addicted to social networks since we spend a lot of time with them, although it is not the only problem since we are addicted not only to networks but to technology in general and we do not realize the problem that We have because the telephone, computer ... everything ends up distracting us, for example we are studying and the mobile rings, with that already vast to look at it and distract ourselves.

Spend so much time in front of a screen that not even we realize the time we spend playing on the computer, the console, or the mobile.
Another very important problem is the stress that we have at times when we have too many exams and you are worried about the grade that also influences the time we sleep.

And I personally sometimes get these things that give me trouble sleeping.

  8. In adolescents between 15 and 16 years old, according to experts, the hours of sleep required is between 8 or 9 hours at least. Many adolescents do not comply with the schedules that must be done because either we are with the mobile, the computer, watching a movie or lovers of reading reading a book, reading a book is always more advisable than doing something with any mobile device ... .

The hours of sleep influence adolescents of this age at school the next morning, because they do not attend enough and they are doing other unnecessary things in class when what you have to do is attend in these cases of inattention Due to lack of sleep I include myself and I am the first to go to bed late because of being with the mobile

In conclusion, we must be aware and pay attention to the scientists and comply with the stipulated hours of sleep that will surely be better for our health.

  10. Doctors say that you have to sleep 8-9 hours every day, to be rested the next day, but most adolescents do not sleep these hours, since we are doing other things and we sleep late, and sleeping few hours is harmful later when it comes to attending in class since we are very tired and we do not attend and we get distracted easier, so we have to rest the necessary hours.

I very seldom sleep 8-9 hours, because maybe I'm up late doing homework or studying, because I have the whole afternoon busy, but when the weekend comes I sleep more than 8 hours and everything that I have not rested in the whole week, I rest it on the weekend.

There are days when I have gone to school sleeping 4 hours, but because I had an exam the next day and had to be studying, but later in the afternoon if I can, I sleep a little to rest.

One of this problems is for example the sleep disorders that we usually have, and we sometimes think that it can be a normal problem, but it's a very bad problem, and we don't give it some importance and it really have a lot. Nowadays scientists say that we need a 8 hour sleep at least, but lot of people don't have this recommended sleep for different reasons, and I think that they should try to sleep more.

If we don't have the enough sleep's hours we need to accept that we have a problem, but why we don't have the enough sleep's time? It can be because we pass a lot of time with our mobile phone and even we carry it to bed and when we go to bed we are still using the mobile phone, that do that we don't have sleppiness. In some people it also can be because they don't have enough time and they are always busy with things of their work.

In conclusion, I think that we need to sleep the enough time that scientists say and at least we should take off all the illnesses that lack of sleep can produce.

  18. Sleeping is an act that is part of our daily routine. If we do not sleep properly, we could suffer from sleep disorders that can affect our health.

On the one hand, sleep problems are more and more common, especially among teenagers. There are different aspects that can affect our sleep. The most usual is blue light emitted by smartphones and tablets. It is demonstrate that blue lights reduce the natural production of melatonin, the hormone that makes us feel sleepy. Moreover, sleep disorders can affect our mental health and lack of sleep in children is also related to a high risk of obesity.

On the other hand, coronavirus lockdown has increased the insomnia. Many people are afraid of becoming infected with the coronavirus or they have lost their jobs and that causes them not to sleep well. In addition, stress, anxiety and depression are other elements that can cause insomnia.

In conclusion, sleep disorders are something that affect to many people in the world. Sleep is very important to our health, so we should try to go to bed early to have energy during the day and in this way be more productive and perform better in class.

  26. Nowadays millions of people around the world suffer from a sleep disorder. So, actually people sleep less and less due to many reasons. However, if we don’t sleep enough, it can cause us several health problems. Have you ever thought about how many people sleep the necessary hours actually?

On the one hand, according to experts, it is necessary to sleep between eight and nine hours each day. Although, most people sleep an average of seven hours a day or less but if you don't get enough sleep, you could have several health problems and not be rested during the day to do your taks.

On the other hand, it has been shown that most of the people who suffer from sleep disorders nowadays are due to the use of the blue lights of the screens of our mobile phones or computers. These screens have been shown to reduce the production of melatonin, which is the hormone responsible for sleep, causing difficulties in falling asleep.

  30. According to doctors, it is necessary to sleep 8-9 hours in order to be well rested and to maximize your productivity the next day. However, people seldom follow this recommendation. In fact, nowadays people sleep less and less, so we can perceive an increase in the number of cases related to sleep disorders , which has also grown exponentially after the lastest lockdown.

This lack of sleep is greatly affected by some factors, such as the blue lights of our screens, which have been proven to reduce the production of melatonin, leading into difficulties to fall asleep. These lights wouldn't be a problem if we did't use our smartphones or tablets two hours before going to bed, but the reality is that it's become a habit to check them right before sleeping.
Another factor is our diet, not only caffeine affects our sleep, but also fizzy drinks and sugar. So if we consume large amounts of that we will have trouble switching off.

Furthermore. Last lockdown completely modified our sleep schedule; we used to go to bed at 10pm one day and the next one at 3am, depending whether we were hooked on a good Netflix show or not. Some of us have got used to the routine again, but some others are having difficulties trying to adapt themselves.
Also, the concern of getting infected is making harder to sleep for some people.

To conclude, it could be said that we should make an effort to sleep at least 8 hours, because it has many benefices for our health and it will improve our concentration.

  31. Sleeping is essential for your health. Many people have difficulties at the time of doing this activity, and they have trouble. Some sleep a lot, and others sleep little. We are talking about two extremes, which we call: sleeping like a log and insomnia.

For start, I am going to explain these words. When we say sleeping like a log is a person who sleeps without waking up during all the sleep. There could be an earthquake or a music band playing and they would be still sleeping. How amazing!

And following, when we talk about insomnia is a person who can't sleep many hours. They see all clock's hours at night due to anxiety or other facts that disturb sleep. This problem can be solved with medicines.

In conclusion, as I can see it, I don't sleep as I like. The majority of the days I sleep less than 8 hours, and sometimes when I go to bed earlier, I can't sleep. But I want to solve it.

During the school year, it usually that the students stay up too late, because they must to study for some exams that have the next day, or watching movies or series on the television, but I think that many people the problem they have are that stay up too late with the mobile phone, watching the social media...

This is the really problems that the people nowdays, are very hooked on mobiles and video games, for what this people sleep more late playing video games or with social networks.

This is a big problem, because if we don't rest all the necesary time, we aren't attentive at school or in the jobs. The experts say that we must to sleep about 8-9 hours to be fully rested. But this recommendation nowdays the people do not comply and sleep less than the due hours. I for example sleep about 6 hours at day, and I know that isn't enought, but I can sleep earlier, because I must to do a lot of homeworks, or study, and because some days I have to train and I lose a lot of time, and then I have to get there and finish that I have to do for school. Other days I can sleep 4 hours because I must to study for some exams, always that I sleep 4 hours I I try to get some sleep in the afternoon, but not always I can do it.

I think that we must to sleep the time that the experts says, but I nowdays during the time of school I can't sleep this time, because if not I don't have time to finish all the homeworks, study.. Another factor that also alters our sleep a lot during exam time is stress, because we have many in a short time or because we do not concentrate and the day before we do not have time to learn all the topics well.
In my opinion I think that sleeping is very important and whenever I can take advantage of it, since there are times when I either sleep little or do not sleep comfortably because of the exams thinking about whether they will be good or bad.

  38. Many young people have sleep problems nowadays. This is very harmful because sleep is essential for our health. During the school year, it may be due to the fact that you have to stay up until late because of the exams. Also for watching movies and series on Netflix, or thinking about our problems. There are so many things that keep us awake ...

But… what is the real problem? Mobile phones or videogames are the cause of these problems. If we have electronic devices in our room we use them until late and this takes many hours of sleep.

This is something really negative because if we don't rest, we arent attentive at school or anywhere. Therefore, we are always tired and sleepy and nothing goes well. We teenagers should sleep an average of 8 to 9 hours a day, and almost no one does. We usually sleep about 6 and a half hours on average, and that is not enough. We rest very little and this is really bad for our health.

A good tip to sleep better is to leave the mobile phone outside the room or turn it off so as not to be distracted by social media or chatting with friends. If you have to stay studying one night, it doesn´t matter, but don't make it a habit. Perhaps we should organize ourselves better in the afternoon so that we only have to check that we know the exam at night and go to sleep so that we can go to the exam rested. I think that is very important.

Most adolescents do not sleep more than eight hours, because of cell phones, tablets or video games, so they stay up very late and do not sleep because the light from the screen keeps them active.
Another problem is that some people have insomnia at night.
This can later affect studies or jobs because people are tired and sleepy and cannot concentrate on their things.

In conclusion, the challenges are present, but it is up to us how we choose to face them. I don't usually eat junk food, but I don't eat fruit either, so I'll try to do it more often. I love to read, but lately I hardly have time to do it. That is why I have proposed to do it.

  47. We all should sleep at least 8 hours. nowadays young people don't get enough sleep because they study late or are playing video games, and this is very harmful since their brain is developing and a bad habit like this could affect it.
By not getting enough rest, they also do not perform enough during the day and feel tired. If we all slept at least 8 hours, we would improve academic and work performance.
In conclusion you should to sleep 8 or 9 hours to be productive and not be tired.

  48. Sleeping well is very important for our day to day, it helps us regain energy and perform activities correctly. We must sleep between 8 and 9 hours to have energy the rest of the day, but many don't respect those hours of rest.

Many young people have sleep disorders from phone or video game screens, etc.

I think everyone should respect their rest hours in order to be active during the day.

  50. Sleep is essential to our health, and this is a fact. In order to be yourself, you must sleep the hours necessary for your body to rest and to consolidate your acquired knowledge throughout the day. Lack of rest causes serious effects on our health, and could lead to a fatal situation.

Today it is very common among young people not to get enough rest, and this is a serious problem. Well, most of these people, although they don’t know it, are suffering from a series of distortions that may affect them in the future if they aren’t already affecting them. There are several different situations:

-On the one hand, there are those people who don’t sleep because they prioritize having fun and having a good time instead of their health. There are also those people who don’t rest because they don’t know how to organize their time and don’t have time to do their work.
-On the other hand, there are those people who due to personal situations aren’t allowed to rest or have sleep problems. There are also people with sleep disorders who can’t rest.

To conclude, I will say that sleep is a main right and that everyone should be able to rest and feel good about themselves, because if we don’t rest well we will not be able to be in good health or perform in our work.

  51. Sleep is essencial in our life fore have a good health. We all have to sleep our minimum sleep hours because otherwise we could have health problems, and nobody wants that to happen. According to scientists the number of hours of sleep to be rested varies from one person to another. While some only need 5-6 hours of sleep, others require 10 or more. Varies depending on our age.
The main causes of sleep deprivation are often ailments that cause pain or discomfort, and mental disorders such as depression and daily stress. Many people don’t sleep because watch tv, mobile phones... and they go to bed very late. For this reason we have to go to bed before.

  55. Sleeping is an activity that everyone does everyday and that is obligatory and necessary. It is essential in our day to day and specialists affirm that sleeping at least 8 hours per day would reduce many problems. For example, not sleeping increases heart problems, and the risk of diabetes.
For many reasons, sleeping is essential in our health and everyone should sleep the hours their body needs.

In our society it is very common to hear that people do not sleep the necessary hours, either because they sleep too much or too little. Although there are people that think that the only problem associated with sleep is sleeping less than recommended, it is not the only problem. Sleeping more than necessary is another problem that could produce other problems in our health.

Nowadays, teenagers and people with high positions in their jobs have sleeping problems. It is due to addiction to mobile phones or video games or due to having a lot of stress.

On the one hand, having a mobile phone could help teenagers in many occasions but they are a serious problem at the sleeping hour. To this we must add that many teenagers spend the time they should be sleeping watching tv series or films and thinking about their problems. Nevertheless, they are not the only problems that do not allow young people to sleep. Problems related with stress and anxiety are very common in teenagers because of studies, and the time they should be sleeping they are studying or doing homework.

On the other hand, during the quarantine we lived last year due to COVID_19 our sleeping habits changed. Teenagers usually go to sleep at 7 o’clock and they wake up at 9 more or less to class online. In other cases, teenagers didn’t sleep during the night so they slept during the day, but much less time. Talking about adults, the financial problems, the fear of losing their employment and the fear of being infected with covid, reduced their sleep hours, producing insomnia.

Not sleeping well has many consequences and to reduce sleep-related problems we could do different activities, for example we should have a schedule to sleep and wake up every day, do sport, have a healthy and varied diet, avoid the use of computers, tablets or mobiles and have dinner an hour before bed.

From my point of view, sleeping well is essential because if we don’t sleep at the correct time, the next day we will be tired and we will not have enough energy to do the things we should. Moreover, everyone should rest. In my case, during the week I sleep less than 8 hours because of studies, but during the weekend I always try to sleep 8 hours.

Sleep is very important in our lives because if, on the contrary, we cannot have serious health problems, it especially affects young people more since we prefer to have fun, talk with our friends before sleeping the necessary hours.

All people should sleep around 8-9 hours a day to recharge the day with energy and without being tired. We also dedicate young people to study at night because maybe we run out of time in the afternoon and the next day we have an important exam and we spend all night studying, although this is not the most appropriate to stay all night studying and arrive to the exam tired and you do not perform enough.

Video games and consoles also take away hours of sleep and also damage our eyesight and we would have vision problems, young people usually play video games at night so we do not sleep much and the next day we get up late and start the day without forces.

In conclusion I think that all the people, especially the young people, should be more responsible and sleep the necessary hours to start the day with energy

  57. Sleep is a fundamental aspect of our life. On the days that we do not sleep the hours necessary for our body, we are not able to concentrate what is necessary either for school or for work, since sleep is something that is needed throughout our lives, especially when we are babies.

Many times due to stress or lack of time we cut our sleep hours, without thinking about how harmful it can be. For example, in the case of students, sometimes we think that staying up later studying will be better, but we do not think that the next day we will be more tired and it will be more difficult for us to concentrate.

When we are babies we spend more time asleep than awake on a normal day. But as these hours of sleep grow, they change and decrease. I think that sleep is something very important. And also we should all have a sleep schedule and that s try not to vary for a long time.

The following day, they are tired and they don’t remenber anything our English teacher says that when we have and examn it is essential to sleep enough and have a healthy breakfast. Also, young people are usted to using their mobile before sleeping and that light makes you not to rest very well.

  61. Sleep is something that we should give much more importance because the better you sleep the more you render the example is very clear.

For instance, just look at the performance of a person who rests well and that of another who rests quite badly, the better we sleep the better we will be in making lots of things and better we will do them is why we have to give more importance to rest instead of sleeping 4 hours or 5 hours we sleep 8 hours which according to studies is what we should sleep to be 100% in our day.

  63. Every creature needs sleeping, from the smallest cat to the biggest human being. All of them must rest some hours if they want to survive. Related to human life, it is even more important. During the sleeping time, our brain classifies and saves the information obtained during the day, so we don´t forget the important things. Apart from this, the brain resets some chemical substances and solves some problems during sleep, so it is essential to have a good sleeping schedule.

The amount of sleeping hours depends on the age of the person. For example, babies are supposed to sleep about 15 hours, meanwhile an adult have enough with 7 or 8 hours. If a person doesn´t sleep enough hours, his daily routine can be affected. Some of the secondary effects of missing sleeping hours can be the following ones:
    -Bad mood and clumsiness
-After 2 nights without sleeping, the person could have problems thinging and doing different actions.
-After 5 nights without sleeping the person can hallucinate.
-Finally, the brain gets unable to indicate the rest of the body the actions to accomplish.
So you can see sleeping is essential, and that breaking with your sleeping routine has really important consequences.

We have learned that sleeping is essential, and that we should respect the hours of sleep that are convenient for us. But, what if we couldn´t sleep? There are many sleeping illnesses. The three most common are:
-Insomnia: it is a problem to fall asleep.
-Sleeping rhythm problems: they are problems to have a regular sleeping schedule.
-Problems that interrupt sleep: they are unusual behaviours during sleep, that wake you up.
If you have one of these problems, you should visit a doctor, but there are some tips that can help you, like avoiding having naps, avoiding taking caffeine, avoiding eating a lot before going to bed, etc.

About my sleeping routine, I love sleeping, and when I can I like sleeping a lot. However, even if I love it, I find it really hard to fall asleep, and when I finally do it, I wake up a lot of times during the night. It doesn´t affect my daily routine, but when I don´t have much time to sleep, for example during the school year, it makes me feel really tired during the morning.

Today, many young people have trouble sleeping.
There are many types of sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, nightmares, and night terrors.
Mobile phones or video games are the cause of these problems. If we have electronic devices in our room, we use them until late, this takes many hours of sleep.During the school year there are also teenagers who go to school with little sleep because they have had to do homework, work or have been studying until late.
Another cause may be if you drink a lot of caffeinated beverages such as coffee or sugary drinks, it is very likely that you will have trouble sleeping.

About my sleeping routine, during the summer it depends on the day I like to sleep more or less. When I go to bed late the next day I usually wake up at 12-1, but when I don't go to bed late I usually get up at 10-11. I don't like to sleep so much in summer because I prefer to take advantage of the days going to the beach, going out with my friends ...
During the school year I have less time to sleep. On the days that I don't have many homework and I don't have an exam, the next day I usually go to sleep around eleven-half-twelve although sometimes I stay with the phone until late. I have many homework, exams and work I stay up very late and the next day I am very tired My sleep schedule during the school year is low on sleep, during the week I sleep less than 8 hours because I stay up very late awake But during the weekend I always try to get 8 hours of sleep.

  65. Sleeping is a very interesting topic to talk about. Sleep is essential in our lives and in those of animals, sleep is not always good, you have to sleep a certain number of hours, many or a few hours can be bad for the body

For humans sleeping a lot can cause depression and diabetes, unlike humans there are animals such as bears and other types of mammals that during the winter sleep for a long time, this practice has the name of hibernating.

On the other hand, the lack of sleep is more serious, if you do not sleep for a day or two you can experience stress, see hallucinations, etc. And in extreme cases not sleeping can cause death.

A good way to avoid these problems is to sleep about 8 or 9 hours a day. personally I used to sleep less than usual, I used to sleep 6 or 7 hours a day when I was younger, now I sleep around 9 hours a day, and on occasions I have experienced insomnia which is an alteration that makes it difficult for you to sleep
