BEING A TEACHER....

BEING A TEACHER IS A DIFFICULT TASK NOWADAYS, SO I DECIDED TO FOLLOW THIS PIECE OF ADVICE BY BRUCE LEE:

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

The return of the Pink Panther?

There has been a theft of jewels from the Louvre Museum in Paris. Could it be the return of the Pink Panther? But who is the Pink Panther?

This was not a film, but also a very famous cartoon series that children used to love.

Spain, what is Spain for you?

It is the name of the place where you live. You may say it is your country or just the name of a football team. Nowadays, we are in a globalised world and you've got relatives and friends working and living all around the world and problems throughout the problem might affect you, so we don't feel so much part of a country, but of the world.

You hear on the news that there are floods in New York and that is the city where your brother and his family lives. There is a severe drought in New Zealand and that is the country where a friend of yours works as a civil engineer. A heavy snow fall where your elder son is doing his Erasmus or a pandemic in Cardiff where your younger son is also doing his Erasmus. There is an avalanche in Laussane (Switzerland) and that is the spot where Benjamín Béjar Haro lives and works as a university professor and who was one of Albert's most brilliant students and whose family is from Molvízar.

Am I as bad as I used to be?

No way!! Long time ago I must admit I used to be a bit strict with my students, but now that I even have my old students' children, I'm no longer as bad as I used to be!!

I know times are changing, but it should be for the better. Although the latest students coming to our school haven't been the best, at least the promotion of students that has just started their secondary education is quite promising.

Last Tuesday, 16th September, the famous American actor, film director and producer Robert Redford passed away. Some scenes to see from the film Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid:  1  2  3  4

We cannot judge him on his appearance only as he was a man who had strong values and always stood up for human rights and nature, part of a great generation!

We are already in October and we are right on our way making an effort to keep a steady pace with our school tasks.
