ResponderEliminarDisney princesses in the past had to clean, cook and stay at home waiting for their husband. They needed the famous "prince charming" to be happy.
ResponderEliminarNow everything has changed the princesses are independent, brave and, like Elsa, Moana and many more, they do not need a man to be happy or achieve their dream.
Disney princesses have evolved a lot, and I'm happy, but there are still things to do.
I am a fan of Ed Sheeran and I really liked the song you published.

ResponderEliminarThe princesses of before have changed a lot with those of now, this makes me sad because I love the princesses of before, but the bad thing they have are some ideas that make them as if they were normal and children should not idealize with that mentality. .
ResponderEliminarI still love these films but it is true that some scenes should not be normalized, like when Snow White is accepted by the dwarves for knowing how to clean, eat or the Little Mermaid who loses her voice because the prince likes her. But these movies have all these scenes because when they were made they had that metallicity, because today's princess movies are very different from before like Frozen, Mulan .. These movies no longer have scenes like that because the mentality of now is not the same. same. 1989, which was when The Little Mermaid was made.
Today many people complain about these films because of the situations, but a child is not going to be influenced by a movie, the child is going to be influenced by the education that is given at home, because I have always seen those movies and I know that there are scenes that are wrong because my parents have always told me that I have to be an independent person and never depend on anyone.
Since I was little I have liked The Little Mermaid, but today I also love Rapunzel, an independent woman, without fear, who fights for her dreams. Movies today are very different from before.

ResponderEliminarIt's great to see how princesses evolve over time and even in real life. Formerly, if the king and the queen had a boy, he would be the heir even if he had an elder sister, as it happened with the current king of Spain Felipe VI. However, he himself said that his daughter Leonor would be his heir even though his second daughter were a boy.
ResponderEliminarIn old Disney films, we can see many situations that today would be very strange to us, especially with princesses. According to Disney, women have to cook, clean, take care of men, and wait for their loved one. This is not real, and it´s chauvinism. Cinderella is a maid; Snowhite tells the dwarfs that she can cook, clean, sweep so that they accept her, and Ariel renounces to her voice and changes completely her body for a man.
We used to watch these movies without realizing everything that was happening in them. Seeing this, and normalizing it in boys and especially girls, it is a big problem since they assume that a prince will save them from any situation and that all they have to do is clean and cook. A girl, princess or not, can do anything without the help of any prince.
Fortunately, we can see a big change with the new Disney films in which the representation of an independent and courageous woman is more shown. For example, Mulan, Moana, Tangled, Brave, Frozen... Without a doubt, my favourite princess is Rapunzel, a determined and brave woman who is able of saving herself. All these movies are more modern than the previous ones. This shows how the world is evolving, although we still have a lot to do.
It is good to be able to say that the princesses are evolving since this means that the mentality of the society also. When I was little I always liked princesses, I have seen all the movies but now that I have grown up and I think about many parts of these films I realize that there are values in these films that are not to my liking.
ResponderEliminarNow there is a more liberal society in which we can all express what we feel and be more free, all of this is reflected in current films. For all this we can now find princess movies in which the princess is really a warrior who does not need the help of anyone.
Cinema is a way of expressing very different thoughts and values. With a simple short you can make people change their minds about a specific topic. This should be used to help society be more responsive.
Disney princesses are different from now,
ResponderEliminarbecause now they are braver and more independent of themselves, and they don't need a man to make them happy like Merida or Moana.
Before the princesses used to cook and clean the house like Blancanieves and Cenicienta, and wait for a blue prince to arrive to be happy.
But luckily, now it isn't like that and they fight to be happy.

Now we can see an evolution in princesses, not only in the real ones, who have changed a lot, but also we can see this evolution in imaginary princesses, like the Disney's princesses that they have also have changed a lot because before all the Disney's princesses were like a prototype of a beautiful woman that was waiting at home until his beloved arrived to search her. But now Disney has changed this perspective and now the new imaginary princesses live through a normal life and they can also go on a big adventure around the world.
ResponderEliminarAs I have said before, the real princesses have changed a lot, because before they used to wear big dresses and they spent all their lives in their father's castle until they married with a prince and then they went into their husband's castle. And now they live more normal lives, because now they wear more "normal" clothes than before and they also go to schools to learn like ordinary children. Now they don't need any husband at all because they can live their lives without marrying anyone.
Also the imaginary princesses have a different life, I think that this change has been produced of all the changes that we have gone throughin the latest years, and for the change in the way of life of all the women, now almost everybody considers that women are the same as men. For these reasons we can see Disney princesses that go on an adventure like Mulan or Merida, the protagonist of Brave, princesses that in the past would see like a bad example of a princess and these films wouldn't be produced.
Finally, in my opinion, all these changes are really good for all of us because we need to realise that all of us are the same and that we have the right to live our life as we want, altought we are ordinary people or very important people like princesses or famous people like actors or athletes.

ResponderEliminarA few years ago, a Disney princess was beautiful and defenseless woman, waiting for a prince to come and save her. They used wore very elegant and beautiful with her long dresses and incredible shoes and they were supposed to do the housework. All the old Disney princesses followed this canon. All the littl girls, when they saw this type of film and they saw that the only role of the women is being married with a prince and do the housework, she will think that the only thing she can do in life is that.
Nowdays this topic have changed and nowdays you can see that the princess of nowdays are brave determined and without the need for any prince to come to her rescue or to marry with her. We can see this women in the film "Brave", where the main character is a woman whose dream is to write his own destiny. Merida, the main character, disobey his father and do what she wants. There are a lot of films with this new type of princess as can are Rapunzel, Mulan...
In conclusion, I am very happy, for that Disney have changed the canon of princess, that need that one prince arrive her to rescue, for one brave and determined princess.
Sometimes, cinema sets trends. When a good film comes out there are lots of people who dress like the main characters. As you can think, cinema also influences people´s personality and ideology, so directors can use their films to fight important problems. For example, the film "12 Years a Slave" talks about a black man who fights for his freedom. With this film, many people can see what is the situation of a black man, just for being black, and empathize with him.
ResponderEliminarTalking about the main topic, Disney princesses can set trends too. A few years ago, a Disney princess was a weak and defenseless woman, waiting for a prince to come and save her. They used to wear long dresses with high heel shoes and they were supposed to do the housework. All the old Disney princesses followed this canon. Obviously, when a little girl sees a film when the only role of the women is being married with a prince and do the housework, she will think that the only thing she can do in life is that. Fortunately, nowadays the things have changed.
The last Disney films have changed the roles. For example, in the film "Brave", the main character is a woman whose dream is to write her own destiny. Merida, the main character, disobey her father and do what she wants. This was unthinkable in the old films. Another example is "Tangled up". In this film Rapunzel is the main character, a woman who escapes from his house in search of adventures. Here, the film introduces you a brave character, with his own personality and problems, which is really different from what the old films offered.
In summary, I think that Disney has evolved a lot making films. The last ones treat topics that are not common in cinema, homosexuality, racism, machism, etc. I´m sure this is going to help a lot of people who can feel discriminated to feel better, and it is going to help people understand and empathize with some situations they don´t understand.

Honestly, I think Disney movies are one of the best things kids can see right now. It is true that at the beginning, Disney films were sexist and relegated women to a secondary role in which there was always a brave and handsome prince who saved them from all evils. But it can be considered that this is due to the time in which the films were created: Snow White 1937, Cinderella 1950, Sleeping Beauty 1959 ..... If you start to see the most current films: Bella 1991, Jasmin 1992, Pocahontas 1995, it can be seen that they have much more character and no longer meet the prototype of a princess who cleans at home and waits passively for a prince to rescue them. The same can be said of the most recent princesses: Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa, Mérida or Tiana, in these films the role of the prince is secondary and none of them depends on a man to save her. So it is not so much that Disney is sexist but that it adapted to the times in which its films were created. I grew up watching Disney movies and I don't think it was such a bad thing. In fact, they transmit many positive values such as friendship and helping others and that is what children perceive. At least that was what I perceived as a child.

It is true that the image of princesses has changed these years. Now we can see princesses with other clothes and they do other things. I remember Blancanieves and Cenicienta and their dresses.
ResponderEliminarI don’t understand why the princesses have to wear special clothes or be so delicate, because for example, Fiona in Shrek was different and she always was a princess. The princess of the film Brave with the red curly hair doesn’t want to be like other princesses.
I think that be a princess is not related with the aspect or where you come. When you are a princess or a prince the important is to do good things for your country.
Leo Maldonado
Princess have always been evolving. The traditional Disney princesses were the ones who washed the dishes, did food, cleaned the house and depended on the husband. They could not leave the house and could not work outside. They could never say or do anything that their husbands left them. They always had to to be very well dressed and that now has evolved. Now a princess does not depend on her husband, she is independent and can do the things she wants and when she wants. She will dress as she wants and does not have to be at home. This is a great advance to teach children that women do not have to depend on men or have to be at home so that they are not bad educated.

The stories of the Disney princesses are very beautiful and have always been liked by everyone, I think there is no need to raise any controversy because they are characters that are like that and you should not change them.
ResponderEliminarThe princesses are all very pretty and their dresses are very pretty. In all stories there is an evil one who wants to ruin everything but the story always ends well.
It is true that if you think about it, princesses always depend on their prince, but it is clear that in real life it is not like that and women do not depend on any man.

I love Disney films. They remind me of my childhood. My favourite ones are princesses ones: The Little Mermaid, Cinderella and The Beauty and the Beast. These movies bring us nostalgia, but they have aged a little badly. Nowadays, the society has evolved a lot, leaving behind his machism, and changing step by step to a feminist society. So, the image these movies give about woman, weak ones which only waits for a prince to save them, are not good. Fortunately, nowadays Disney is making films where the main characters do different things than princesses used to do. Now, princesses like Merida or Rapunzel fight for their own fate, making her choices and doing what they like to. In summary, we can see in examples like princesses cinema how the society is evolving, and maybe in some years, there will be no remains of the ancient princesses.
ResponderEliminarLast September, I went to Paris and I visited Disneyland with my family. Maybe to other people, it is only any trip, but for me was a dream come true. I´ve always wanted to go to Disneyland, inclusive I used to dream with this trip when I was a child, but this year at last I could go.
ResponderEliminarIt has been a hard wait because besides waiting all this time when we at last like that we were going to go on my birthday 13, it arrives the coronavirus and we couldn´t travel. We had to wait two years to do it, but finally, we went.
I enjoyed those days like a little child. There were all the characters, attractions, and shows, all were amazing! Without questions, I would come back a thousand times more.

ResponderEliminarDisney isn´t just princesses looking for their perfect prince. For example I ´m going to tell the story of Moana. She was the daughter of the village boss. She loved the sea, but in her village it was prohibited to cross it. One day, her village was rotting and she went to save her village, but first she has to search for a kind of good, called Maui, and he helped her to find the heart of the mother island to save the world.
ResponderEliminarFor me, the message that Disney wants to convey to us is that Vaina was very brave when she decided to cross and she doesn't necessarily have to be a man. Even though, she needed a man to save the world, she searched for it alone and she gave back the heart to the mother island, with her intetelligence.
