We have always wondered this big question: What is it better: the countryside or the city? Living in a small village or in a big city?
There are, as always, pros and cons to each option, but if we have a look at countries in Central Europe, we'll see a combination of both options is the best. That is to say, British, German, French... people like living in quiet places and perhaps work in the city if they can't find a good job in the village itself.
City centres are more and more uninhabitated places, especially in the evenings or at weekends. However, it is also true that people prefer going shopping to cities, but big shopping malls near cities. With the improvements in the means of communication, public transport and flexibility in timetables everything is possible.
What would be your option?

There is always a big dilemma about where life is better; in a jammed city or in the countryside. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and it’s a matter of personal taste. For some, everyday noise, traffic jams and congestion are what fulfills their lives. For others, clean fresh air, raising and taking care of animals.
ResponderEliminarLet’s start with the city and what are the advantages of living in an urban area. City offers great number of possibilities in all life areas. In the city you meet people of different culture, religion, nationality, etc. Unlike countryside, in the city you can visit various places, from cinemas, theaters, bars and discos to museums, parks, zoos, etc. Also, there are all kinds of shopping centers and boutiques where literally everything can be found.
On the other hand, living and working in big cities has its own disadvantages. Usually, the city is crowded. People are everywhere and traffic jams are becoming a big problem, making it very difficult to get from one point to the next fast. In the rural areas, skyscrapers and traffic jams are replaced with mountains, lakes, rivers, forests and other wonderful and natural landscapes. And without noise and daily stress, life in the countryside is more peaceful and ultimately healthier.
To sum up, I think that both living in countryside or in a crowded city area have their advantages and disadvantages that fix with each one’s personal choice and lifestyle, but personally, I think that living in both is the best option because you’ll be less tired of being in one place than in other.

Now everybody prefer live in a small village where they can breathe pure air, because in this pandemic a house of sixty square meter is horrible. The people move to quite villages as Otívar where they can swim in their own swimming pool in their chalet or in a rural house, too. In the countryside in middle of the nature, the people grow up here can live far away from the big cities, the pollution, in general the big cities have got problems and advantages as the variety of food, materials, a lot of shops where you can buy clothes and in a small village the habitants have to go to the cities to buy these things.

Always in all places there are people like countryside more than live in city, also there are people like city more than countryside and there are people like as countryside as city. Everyone have his characters. The countryside has a lot of things good as the tranquility, there isn't contamination because there aren't cars... But the city also has a lot of things good for example you have all public places in your city. In my opinion the best option is live in countryside but near city.

ResponderEliminarLiving in the city and living in the countryside have good and bad things. Nowadays, there are villages in Spain that have few citizens (“la España vaciada”) because the people prefer to live in the city.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, I think that life in the countryside is more relaxing and calming. I have always lived in a small town and there are a lot of good things. For example, all the people know each other and I played in the street with my neighbours when we were children. In addition, you live next to nature and the air here is pure.
On the other hand, people go to live to big cities for the work and the opportunities. It is true that there are more places like cinema and different types of shops where we can go. However, the noise and pollution are bad for our health and everybody is stressed.
In conclusion, depending on the moment in our life, we prefer to live in the country or in the city. I think that the best option is living in a house in the countryside and working in the city.

The debate about living in a city or in a village is endless, all opinions are respectable, but for me the village is better. In my opinion, it is better to live in the village, although everything has its pros and cons.
ResponderEliminarFor me, without a doubt, some of the advantages of living in a town are that you can walk everywhere without having to have a vehicle. People are friendlier and we all know each other. You can also buy in small stores where the quality of the products is better than what you can find in large stores.
On the other hand, in the city there is a greater variety of places to go, such as museums, cinemas, musicals... Also, in the cities there are more oppurtinities to work.
Perhaps over time my opinions will change, but for now I like to live in a town.

I have always lived in Lobres.
ResponderEliminarLobres is a town, where there are few people. The life here is very boring because there aren’t any restaurant, pubs…
My friends and I always go to Salobreña, where we have many friends. In Summer we usually go there every days.
One of the advantages of Lobres is that, is very quiet but I think that when I’ll be adult I won't live here.
In some years I would like to live in Granada because I think that it is a very beautiful town.
When I finish Bachillerato, I´ll go to study there. They will be the best years of my life.
One of the advantages of the cities are that you can make a lot of friends, party every day but the cities have many disadvantages too.
For example the pollute is one of them, Granada is one of the city, where emits the most pollution in all of Spain.
In my opinion, I prefer the cities because I think that I would have a better life there.

Both living in a villa and living in a town have their disadvantages and advantages.
ResponderEliminarLiving in a villa has good things, like a better quality of life since the air is cleaner. Housing is cheaper in a town than in a city and so is the cost of living.
Although living in a city also has its advantages, you have a more active social life, more leisure options and one of the most important things is that you have more job opportunities.
In conclusion, it depends on what kind of life you want to have, one or the other is better. If you want a quieter life, the town is better, but if you want a more active life, the city is better.
Each person chooses their environment, since many people want to live in the countryside, and others in a city.
ResponderEliminarThe difference in this is that in a country house, you are calmer, more relaxed, there is more nature, and it helps you focus since you are more relaxed, and a city avoids being alone, because you can have a block of flats with neighbors and you find it hard to focus more, although on the one hand living in a city gives you less difficulty when it comes to shopping...
I think that living in a country or in a city will be the same, although I choose to live in a city.
Dunia Arnedo Martin 3ºA
I think that living in a city is better than living in the countryside, and not because the countryside is bad, but rather because the city is more associated with my tastes such as partying, playing video games, etc. Although in the countryside it is very good, and it is for people who are looking for a quieter life, especially in summer, where you can best be in the farmhouse, since, apart from being a quiet place, in summer you do not it gets very hot at night and during the day the best thing is to have a swimming pool in your farmhouse, I have lived in my farmhouse for two summers the first one was an unforgettable experience, at night I spent them looking at the stars outside, since It was cool, during the day or I swam in the pool or went to town to meet my friends, although the second summer I had a pretty bad time, since an allergic reaction began to come out stronger than other years that prevented me from enjoying.
ResponderEliminarIn conclusion, I think that both are good places to live, although it depends on the way you want to live life.
This question is presented in the life of the people. What is better: a village or a big city, or can we get both?
ResponderEliminarNowadays, the cities are more and more occupied, and due to this more noise. The style of life is so different, different from the villages, in the cities people don't think only at the work, but also to disfrute and hang out in pubs, restaurants and other places. In the villages, this doesn’t work the same, since here there aren't alternatives. For example, in my village there is only a bar. There are young people that use to go every weekend, but the great majority prefer to go to other localities.
The solution to this question essential in our society would be to have the tranquility of living in a village, and to have a good job in the big city. The opportunities of jobs in villages are limited and it used to be of worse quality.
In conclusion, for me the ideal would be both of them. In the future, I would like to live in a rural zone and to have a great job in the city.

ResponderEliminarI have lived in both places, in the countryside and in a city. I have lived all my childhood in a city and during the summer I used to come to Granada where my grandmother was living. When I was seven years old I went to live from a city to a small village. I didn't like the change because I was used to living in a big city.
ResponderEliminarLiving in a city has many advantages like there are people from all the places around the world, so you can meet a lot of people and learn about other cultures. Another thing is that there are many shops and malls so you could find a job earlier. There are many places where you can have a good time with your friends and relatives like, the cinema, bowling, escape room, museums, etc, and that's another advantage.
I remember when I was a child, I didn't have time to get bored because I always had things to do.
On the one hand, when you are a child I think living in a small village is better because you can go out to play and have a really good time with your friends with less worry that something bad will happen. On the other hand, when children grow up they get bored of always seeing and doing the same. For that, living in a small village is better for your childhood.
In conclusion, I think living in a city is better than living in the countryside because you can do more things there, and you have more opportunities to do whatever you want. In the future, I would like to live in a big city with my sisters as we used to do in our childhood.

Nowadays, we can live in a big city, or in the countryside. Each one has its pros, but they also have some cons, so each person can like living in both, or only in one, and everyone have their reasons for one thing or another. But you can only know where you like living when you spend some time living in a place, because if you live a short period of time in a place is different from living a long period, because it can be more boring and annoying.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, you can like living in a big city because it has some pros, for example, when you live in a city there are more shopping malls near your house, and when you have nothing to do you can go to a cinema or to other places to entertain yourself. But it also has lots of cons, like all the pollution that is in the air because of all the cars, for the same reason there is a lot of noise that can bother you, and when you go out there will be more people in the streets than in a village.
On the other hand, we can like living in a village, and it logically has pros, but also cons. The cons that it can have is that in a village there are fewer shops than in a city, so you don't have so many things to buy in a village, sometimes you also need to go to a city to buy some things like electrical appliances. There are also fewer places to go when you are bored. But it also has some pros, like it is a place more peaceful, with less noise than a city. And there is also less air pollution, so the air that you breathe when you live in a village is much better than the one you breathe when you are in a city.
Finally, as a conclusion, I prefer living in a village, because it is healthier, there is less pollution, and you are more relaxed than in a city, where everyone is hurrying up constantly. That I prefer living in a village can be because I have lived in a village since I was born and I have never tried to live in a city, although I think that it won't be something that I like, because of all the pollution and noise.
Francisco González
In my opinion it is better to live in a village, because there isn´t so much air and noise pollution, the bad thing is that there isn´t as much entertainment as in the city, there are hardly any fast food places, big shopping centers. The bad thing about cities is that there are a lot of thieves.

The country or the city? It's a very good question and its answer may vary depending on who you ask. I did not know what to answer, since I have lived in a town since I was born and for me childhood in a town is very beautiful, they are very different lifestyles and experiences. In childhood I would prefer a town but as I grow older I change my mind.
ResponderEliminarThe town or the city are totally different environments. The smallest towns and you usually meet everyone who lives there, life is more humble, people usually work in the fields, running their farms, being in the fields the environment is cleaner therefore it is a more life healthy. But one of the disadvantages of a town is that the population is aging and it is sometimes difficult to find many young people. In addition, the people who live there tend to have a more closed mentality, they have very old opinions and thoughts.
The city is the opposite of a town, the environment is very polluted from cars and factories, so the quality of life is worse. In a city people go all out with their lives and they don't know each other, what's more, it's practically impossible for you to run into the same person in a week. The advantages of the city is that you have everything you need close by and you don't have to travel to buy, since there are supermarkets or shops all over the city, while in the town you always have to use your car or another vehicle even to do the shopping. buy for your house.
In conclusion, the city and the town are very different and each one brings you something different. And it is difficult to know what you prefer, since each one has advantages and disadvantages for each person, so depending on who you ask, they will prefer one or the other.
Irene López Maturana
Where do you prefer to live? In the country or in the city? Both places have their advantages and disadvantages, and the final decision depends on the aspirations and plan. When we consider where we want to live and if we prefer to live in an urban environment or in nature, doubts begin to arise as to whether to choose a city for live or if we prefer to live in a town or in the countryside, there are many pros and cons and we must know if the benefits or drawbacks of each of the life options is adjusted to what makes us happy or to the type of life we want to lead .
ResponderEliminarLiving in a big city has many advantages, but also its drawbacks. Population density, noise, long journeys, lack of green spaces, pollution... are some of the factors that make living in a city a psychological disorder. But living in a city also has its advantages as ,there is a greater concentration of population so you have more opportunities to meet people. The vast majority of the headquarters of large companies and training schools are located in the big cities, so there are many more possibilities for professional development. There are many places where you can have a good time with your friends and family such as the cinema, bowling, museums, bars etc.
On the other hand, life in the countryside is more relaxing and peaceful. One of the main advantages of living in the countryside is the contact with nature, the possibility of breathing fresh air, and there is less noise than a city. . In small towns or in the countryside we will be able to live with more space since there is a lower population density and normally we will be able to live in larger houses and with much more space than in cities. The cons that it can have is that in a town there are fewer shops than in a city, so you don't have as many things to buy in a town. There are also fewer places to go for entertainment.
As I have mentioned, there are many advantages and disadvantages of both living in the city and living in the countryside, and the best option only depends on you and what best suits the lifestyle you want to lead and your way of being.
For me, the ideal is to alternate both places, for example, living in the city during the week, and trying to escape to the countryside on weekends, to disconnect from the routine, and at the same time connect with nature and with myself.
Living in the countryside or the city have pros and cons.
ResponderEliminarIn the city, the pros are that you have everything near as the hospital if you have an accident, the cinema for meet with your friends. But, the cons are that this place is not quiet and there are a lots of noises.
In the countryside, the pros are that is a place very quiet and the people who live here are in contact with the nature everytime. The cons are that everything are far away as the hospitals, restaurants, cinemas, supermarkets, etc...
Nowadays, the people prefer to live in the city. In my opinion, I prefer to live in the city, but on vacations I would like to live in the countryside.

These days cities are getting bigger and bigger, with thousands or even millions of people living in them, but we are also seeing lots of people who are leaving their cities and moving to small towns. In fact, nowadays is very common to see people who live in towns but works in big cities.
ResponderEliminarBut, what are the reasons for leaving the city? Firstly, a small town is quieter than a big city. In addition, you can find bigger houses at a cheaper price and the quelity of the air is better, so many people would prefer to live far from their office and have a peaceful place to live.
However, if you live in a small town you will need to have a car and a driving license to be able to go to a city whenever you want because in villages there aren't many shops so you'll need to travel to a city to go to a hostpital, go to a supermarket or to have fun.
Summing up, big cities have everything you need to live, but they are very polluted and noisy, so many people prefer living in a smaller place and going to the city when it's necessary. Personally, I can't see myself living in a big city because I find them too noisy, so I think that in the future I'll be living in a village.
Since I was young I have been living in a village. When I was young I loved living in a city as everyone knew each other, but now I prefer to live in a city. Living in the town has good things and bad things.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, living in a town has good things, for example, everyone knows each other, or you can play in the street with your friends, you can play in the fields, you can walk in the fields. I think the best parties are those in the villages. In the town there is less pollution.
On the other hand, living in the town has bad things, for example, in the town there are no shops or cinemas. In the villages there are fewer jobs. If you live in a town, you can work in the fields, since there is a lot of land. There are other jobs but above all work in the fields.
In summary, I prefer to live in the city because there are more people and I love seeing many people on the street. When I have had vacations, I have always gone with my aunt, because she lives in Motril. Other people prefer to live in the town because it is quieter.
I have always had the doubt if I would like to live in the city or in the countryside when I grow up. In a city you have thousands of things to do, you have many shops, many restaurants, many schools, and there are more people you can meet. But in the countryside it is true that there are fewer people, but you all know each other, you form a big family without realizing it and the things that you cannot do because you do not live in a city you do the same among yourselves, it will always be easier to see each other and spend time together.
ResponderEliminarI have been raised since I was little in a town, and the truth is that I would like my children to do the same, my childhood has been unmatched and now that I am older I know that in a town you live much better, at least when you are not fully adult. It is true that I spend a lot of time in Granada and once I grow up I want to spend a few years in a city, to meet more people and have more fun, but I am sure that I will always return to my town, because my life is there.
My parents have been very happy in the town with us but I know that when we grow up they are going to go live in Granada, because they left to live in the town for us, because we would be much better off, but once they are alone a city is much easier to find distractions or hobbies. In addition, a large part of my family lives in Granada. What we are totally clear about is that our house in the town will always be ours, we are not going to sell it, because every summer we sell the town and I would love for my children to grow up in the house where I grew up.
In conclusion, you cannot spend your whole life in the same place, you end up getting tired regardless of the place, so I think the best thing would be to spend your childhood in a town, meet people, create your family and you already know that you will always have those people there, when you grow up a little, approximately 20 years old, go to a city, meet people, meet places, do things that you did not do when you were little, and once you have done everything and You only want to settle down and rest, look for a little house in a town, where your children will be as sweet as you, and once they grow up, let them choose their path and you yours too.

ResponderEliminarLanjarón, the town where I live, is really small. It doesn´t even have 4000 inhabitants. It´s almost 3 times smaller than Salobreña! This, has its advantages and disadvantages. In the future, I would love to live outside my town, but I would like my future children to be able to spend their holidays in Lanjarón, despite living in another city.
ResponderEliminarOn the one hand, I really like when in summer, elderly ladies are sitting on the door of their houses. Normally, as they do not recognize you, they usually ask you: “whose granddaughter are you?”. I love when they ask me this question because everyone knows my grandparents and they are very loved in my town.
On the other hand, it´s horrible how little privacy there is in a town. Whenever you go, you will meet someone you know. In addition, in the towns there are many gossips and many rumors are invented about people. I´m a very discreet person and I don't like people talking about me, much less if what they say is not true! This is something that makes me want to move when I grow up…
I think I would like to live in a city like Granada, since there are more possibilities to do cool things, you can make different plans such as going shopping, to the cinema... Although it also has its disadvantages such as it´s more dangerous to walk alone in the street at night. Obviously, it has pros and cons, but I think I would prefer that instead of living in a town.

Nowadays, most young people live in the city. However, there are others who stay at the countryside.
ResponderEliminarProbably those who live in the city think that living there is better because they have shopping centre and gyms and they can hang out with her friends and go to the cinema or a pub.Although all this is true, in the city there are lots of noise and people aren’t as friendly as the countryside.
In the village there are fewer things, but you are always in contact with nature and animals and everything is quite calm and fabulous. If you want practise sport, you just go out and run across the mountain.
There are other things for example you can go hiking, visit different sites which you can’t see in the cities and you can taste different meal.
From my point of view, the best option to choose is living in a small town, where you have the countryside close to you but you also have pastimes. It also has its problems fop example if you hurt some part of your body you have more difficulties to go to the hospital and you surely have to drive.

In conclusion, I think that both living in the city as living in the countryside or in small twons has advantages and disadvantages. The option that you prefer depends on your preference, your lifestyle...
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LIVING IN THE COUNTRYSIDE.
ResponderEliminarTo begin with I would say the first good thig about living in the country is that you breathe clean and fresh air. There isn’t any noise, you wake up to the sound of birds singing. Another good thing is that you can do whatever you want, to jump, sing, shout without disturbing anyone. But above all I would like to live in the countryside because the landscape offers peace and tranquility.
However there are some things I don’t like about living in the country, firstly you haven´t neighbours who you sometimes need them. Secondly the distance is a problem when you need to go to the school, the hospital or to the market.
But in general I think the ideal is to have two houses, one in the city and another in the country.

There is always a great dilemma of whether life is better in a town or in the city. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages.
ResponderEliminarOne advantage of living in a town is that the air is much clean and pure and is not as bad as in the city. One advantage that cities have is that they have places that there are not here, such as shopping centers or stores that are almost impossible to have in towns.
One thing that also benefits from living in a city is that there are better methods of transportation, such as the subway, it is quite comfortable, much more comfortable than going by bus.
I have always lived here in Salobreña, more specifically in La Guardia, but the truth is that I have not used to have so many problems because the city is 45 minutes from where I live and if I need to go to do something or buy something urgently, there is no problem.
In conclusion, life in the city is better than life in a town, but life in a town is not so bad either.

Celts arrived in Ireland around 300 B.C. and governed the island for over 1000 years, leaving traces in art and culture that can still be found at present time. Christianity arrived in Ireland between the III and V centuries. The Vikings ruled from the VIII century onwards until the country became part of the British kingdom in 1169. A long struggle for independence took place until 1922, after the Irish War of Independence, when the 26 southern counties of Ireland gained independence from the United Kingdom and became the Irish Free State, and after 1948, the Republic of Ireland.
ResponderEliminarThe 6 counties in the northeast known as Northern Ireland remained part of the United Kingdom but instability in the north began to show in the 1960s. For many years violent conflict existed between those who proclaimed a united Ireland and those who wished to remain part of the United Kingdom and who were known as "The Troubles". Irish governments sought a peaceful reunification of Ireland and were generally cooperative with the British government.
On July 28, 2005, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) announced the end of its armed campaign and on September 25, 2005, international weapons inspectors oversaw the complete disarmament of the IRA.

Ireland is a country where people have lived since around 6000 BC, but its origin isn´t known. Around 700 BC the Celts came to the island and they brought their avanced culture with them. Around 400 AD, Celts decided they needed slaves to work their land; they sent ships across to Britain, captured people from there and brought them back to Ireland. This happened to Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.
