There are many challenging situations in life where our determination is essential. That would be the case with difficult groups where the teaching-learning process is not easy, but also in real life like the catastrophe they are living in Turkey and Syria after the terrible earthquatkes they have gone through.
In all those situations what we have to say and what all the firefighters that have gone there to help is: "I'll never surrender... if there's a chance".
Obviously, my musical hint for today will be the song: Never Surrender by Shangrii-La. Here's a version with the lyrics for you to sing along!!

ResponderEliminarAn earthquake is a natural phenomenon, in which a movement of the ground occurs. It is very dangerous, and in Granada recently there were quite a few.
ResponderEliminarRight now there is a very strong earthquake in Turkey and Syria. There are thousands of deaths and it is out of control. Firefighters from many countries are called by Turkey and Syria and many people are attending to help.
The images we've seen on TV are terrifying, many children are running out of their parents and it is very sad, let's hope that this doesn't happen again.

In the recent weeks I have seen news about the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, the images are terrible and dramatic.
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion it is a very complicated situation because it happened in a not very developed area. It has been seen that the buildings were not prepared for the earthquake and fell easily. One thing that has surprised me is how after more than ten days they were still rescuing people from under the rubble. The number of deaths seems very high to me because they are only confirmed, the number will be higher as time goes by, it is a true catastrophe.
I think it will be a long recovery process because there has been a lot of destruction. I hope they recover soon.

Earthquakes are natural disasters that happens when there is a sudden release of energy from the Earth's crust. They can be extremely dangerous and cause significant damage to buildings, roads, and other infrastructures. The magnitude of an earthquake is measured on the Richter scale, which ranges from 0 to 10. Earthquakes with a magnitude of 5 are considered moderate, and they can still cause some damage, especially if they occur in densely populated areas. It's important to be prepared for earthquakes by having an emergency plan and supplies ready in case one strikes.

What has happened in Turkey and Syria is a pity because many lives have been lost under the buildings collapsed by the earthquake, fortunately the world has turned to them and immediately sent specialists to help them.
ResponderEliminarIn Turkey, a football match between Besiktas Istanbul and Antalyaspor Antalya was stopped after four minutes because of a shower of soft toys to be given to children affected by the earthquake. The players collected the toys while the screens showed the nameplates of the 11 provinces affected in Turkey.

I will never give up trying to improve. When I have had challenges, even if they were difficult I had tried my best. Sometimes, things don't go well but the important thing always is not to give up and keep trying. Practise makes perfect and you always learn from your mistakes. If you wish something and you fight for it, it is easier.
ResponderEliminarThis earthquake has killed many people. My opinion is that there are houses with more strong columns

ResponderEliminarThe 2023 Turkey and Syria earthquakes took place on February 6 of that year. The first earthquakes occurred 34 km west of the city of Gaziantep at 04:17 a.m., with a magnitude of 7.8. There was generalized damage and tens of thousands of deaths. It was the most deadly and strongest earthquake in Turkey since the one in Erzincan in 1939. The second earthquake was an unusually strong aftershock that occurred 9 hours after the main earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.7.
ResponderEliminarIt caused some buildings that had withstood the first earthquake to finally collapse, causing panic throughout the region. The earthquake had more than 1000 aftershocks. Until March 10, over 54,000 deaths had been recorded: 47,000 in Turkey and 7,000 in Syria. The earthquake caused an estimated US$84.1 billion in damage, making it the fourth costliest earthquake on record.

If you have a purpose, you should know that you have to work out and do things you will not like to do, but every effort has its reward. For instance, when Cristiano was youger, he was working as a street sweeper when he discovered football. He inmediately fell in love with the sport, and began playing it. He started in the local team of his town, training whenever he was able to. With this effort we now know him and what he is like today. For me, he is an example of discipline.
